Did you have to remind me?
Hi Everyone. Welcome to the TPC Blog.
As you know from earlier blogs I’m off to Las Vegas for my 50th birthday in May. Now I’m not a big traveller and except for visiting Florida a couple of times, once with my Mom and Sister after I was sick when I was young and another time when my oldest boy (who is now 26) was a little guy, I haven’t been many places.
My Sister and I did go however to Salem years ago. We had so much fun. I love witchy things. I don’t consider myself Wiccan or anything. I just like witchy things. They just crack me up. In Salem everything is witchy. The fire trucks even have a witch on them. Actually one of my nickname’s is Swinaw which stands for “She who is not a Witch”. The reason for this is that people assume I’m Wiccan for some reason and I always say “Me? I am not a witch” so that is how Swinaw came about.
I have many nicknames. My husband calls me Fred for some odd reason which makes for fun in the shopping mall when I answer to it. I’ve been called “Smurfahontas” because when my husband started making leather native clothes I wanted all mine in bright blue. I am sure I have other nicknames too that I don’t know about if you get my drift.
Back to my story, (I sure get sidetracked quickly don’t I) I asked my sister if I should use the same suitcase I used when we went to Salem and she started to laugh hysterically and I’m like “what?” She reminded me of when we were on the airplane and we looked out and one of the suitcases fell off the luggage truck and was sitting out on the tarmac. We were snickering a bit thinking about what it would be like for that to be your suitcase until I noticed it looked familiar. You guessed it, it was my suitcase. No one was noticing it. Then to make matters worse this huge airplane was backing up almost over on top of it. Eventually (which seemed like hours) someone went out and got it but I was holding my breath for a while.
I think I will invest in a new suitcase. Shocking pink feels like a good colour. Maybe one of those ones that falls from the plane and survives too!
So I will leave you with a little reminder.
“There but for the Grace of God go I.”
Until we meet again, Sharon
P.S. I just remembered about another two trips I took to Lilydale and the Spiritualist Community in Indiana (my friend remembers this trip well because she made fun of things all day and had a visitor of the spirit kind sit on her at night). Hmm, I feel another blog coming on….

Hi Everyone. Welcome to the TPC Blog.
I’m not sure what I’m doing but I seem to be in the zone lately.
It may be because of Give Away A Dollar a Day, or it could be the Teleclass I did with Venus and Summer or a combination of the two but I seem to be in the right place at the right time.
I’m turning 50 in May and my sister is making sure I do something that doesn’t involve being a Wife, Mom, Friend, Business Owner or Employee. She said Sharon we’re going to Las Vegas. Woo Hoo! I guess I’m allowed to be a Sister. As the time nears I was getting a little weirded out as I’m thinking where am I going to get the extra money to go. I do have Faith but sometimes Faith tests you a little harder making you wait until the bitter end.
Yesterday all day long I was seeing the numbers 555. The speedometer said 555, I got in the car at 555, license plates said 555, it was all day. I thought this is just a little too peculiar I’m just going to play them on Pick 3 (probably much to my guides relief as they didn’t have to continue with the 555 business) and I even went a little crazy and played $5 worth. Bingo! It came in. I got $2000. Trip Paid. Manifesto! Is that not the coolest?
People at work are saying “you seem to be really lucky lately” what are you up to. I tell them once again if they want the same luck to just Give Away a Dollar a Day. Their response “I started but it didn’t work so I stopped I wanted my dollar back”. Maybe just maybe you have to give it a longer then a few days and not expect anything back I tell them. So they just rub my arm hoping to take some luck and go back to their work.
Life is Funny isn’t it.

No commentsYard Work and Funny Neighbours
Welcome to the TPC Blog on this wonderful day. Ahhh it is so beautiful here in Ontario. God is good.
I have a funny story to tell.
My husband looks completely different as he lost 100 pounds (yes you heard me right) on Weight Watchers. I’m very proud of him and he is now actually a Leader for Weight Watchers as he believes in it so much. Yes I too am a member as it’s just too hard to have two people in the same house not eating the same. I relented kicking and screaming all the way. I think it was the time when he was exercising and I was sitting on the couch watching TV eating Häagen-Dazs that was the last straw. So when the moon was right I too joined. It’s easy when there is a Leader in the house. A little preachy but easy.
So where I was going with this blog is that our neighbour thinks that my husband is a different person. The timing is such that we have a new car in the weight transition and my husband did at one time have a 24 inch pony tail (which he donated to Locks of Love) and has short hair now. Each time my husband is outside doing something the neighbour comes over and starts talking about my husband of 100 pounds ago and saying not nice things about him. I’m not sure why he didn’t like him when he was 100 pounds bigger but I guess we all judge through eyes of our past. It’s the oddest thing because we have the same dogs and he has the same wife so I’m not sure what he is thinking. Maybe he thinks I have a new husband which I kind of do.
My husband takes it all in stride. Personally I think I would at some point show him the before and after pictures (after crying my eyes out) but he just thinks it’s funny. Knowing him he probably joins the conversation sayings things about the old him just to get him going for his own amusement.
Life is so very funny isn’t it.
I will leave you with this quote on this glorious sunny day:

No commentsYour Handwriting “Really Can” Change Your Life!
Welcome Back to the TPC Blog.
I was listening to one of Louise Hay’s tapes a few days ago and I heard something that I never heard before even though I listened to this tape for years. It said that Louise Hay changed her handwriting later on in life.
This totally intrigued me and I found out that she worked with Vimala Rodgers who wrote the book “Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life“. I fell in love with this book and the teachings of Vimala. I bought it for people I knew, spoke about it to anyone who would listen and I did some personal consultations with her.
It made perfect sense to me. If your handwriting can be analyzed to tell a story about who you are why can’t you reverse that and make your handwriting create the person you want to be.
Vimala is one of those people who are totally dedicated to making the world a better place. She radiates a passion about her work that is totally contagious. She convinces you real fast that your dreams can become a reality. You have the dream and she gives you the tools to get there.
Your writing has such an impact on your life. It’s hard to believe really but when you see things shifting and manifesting you know its real.
I won’t fool you it takes dediction but the benefits far exceed the discipline to get there. My website and my office to do readings was a dream I carried around for years. Now I’m living my dream in my little office doing what I love. Sure its not exactly as I had planned but it never is. In the end its usually better.
God Bless you Vimala and thank you for being in my life.
I will leave you with a quote:
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”

3 commentsSelling Your House? Let St. Joseph Help You.
I was digging around in articles I’ve written in the past and came across something I wrote when my friend needed to sell her house. I thought I’d share it with you for your entertainment. Needless to say there is never a dull moment when you are around me.
My friend, Heather, called me in a panic. I need your help she says. My house has to sell quick and the market isn’t that great because there are so many houses for sale in the area, and you know, my house may need a little work before selling. Can you do one of your little things you do so it all works out?
Now you don’t know me but a chance to help a friend and have a little fun in at the same time? Hey I’m in. Bring on the challenge.
So I start digging around the homestead, looking through books and my boxes (yes I know I moved in long time ago but unpacking isn’t my specialty) of papers and the consensus is “
Now I’m really a chicken so I drag my Honey. He’s been through way worse with me (and it is through thick and thin right?) so off we go.Honey says on our way to the store (in his
So in we go. I take a deep breath hoping no one knows what I’m up to. My husband is all brave, that’s one of the reasons I adore him. He starts talking to the man at the store about a St. Michael necklace (now I’m not sure if he really wanted one before heading into the store or if getting in there he remembered that St. Michael was the one who cast Satan out of heaven and he thought there might be some bad ju ju in what we we’re doing here and maybe this necklace might be a good purchase at this time but he decided to buy it.)
Anyway, I bring my find to my friend’s house all excited like. Now Heather has a trust in me like no other and would try anything once but I did get this e-mail the next day.
“Sharon this better work, the neighbours, and my family I might add, think I’m nuts. I was out there in the pouring rain burying my little statue beside the for sale sign thinking the whole time that God was going to strike me with lightening for burying poor St. Joseph upside down in the ground not to mention the karma I might get.”
I calmly write back. Trust me. I can’t help at this point to snicker a bit because I’m just as skeptical.
We talk hourly, Heather and I, but the big call came five days later. I sold, she says, the house sold. How cool is that?
What can I say but I guess when we need a little faith its there for all of us.”
Some Things Just Crack Me Up.
Welcome once again.
Some times I just get the giggles about peculiar things. Anything can trigger them.
Probably because I live too much in my head. My husband says I’m like a goose. I just walk around in my own little world and I don’t pay attention to certain things. I know when I’m doing it around him because he will say “honk”. I just laugh and go along my merry way.
Thank goodness I have a serious day job or I would probably disappear somewhere in the clouds.
I love people. I love watching what makes them tick. It intrigues me. Probably why I love being a psychic so much. When I’m doing a reading it creates a whole story and what’s most important in a person’s life. It humbles me that people share their life with me. I do my best working with my guides to help the person let go of the past and move forward into a new adventure. Sometimes I think people are just looking for permission to let go and move forward.
I don’t know if you have ever gone onto Venus Andrecht’s site but she is hilarious and she says life should be a series of adventures. I agree with her.
The other night just before sleep I was going through my list of things to do in my head and I said to my husband don’t forget to think of your Gem of Wisdom for my blog. He said I already have it then he starts saying some dirty Limerick he learned when he was young. This set me off into uncontrollable laughter and he kept it up with different ones. We laughed hysterically until we fell asleep from exhaustion. My life is good.

2 commentsAlong the Way with my guest Despina.
Welcome back to the TPC Blog.
Along the Way is something I thought would be fun. I ask friends and people I meet on my path to write a small paragraph of something they’ve learned from their life so far and want to share. That one Gem of Wisdom that they feel is the most important they would share if they could.
Our Bloggee today is a good friend of mine Despina. She is a very giving person. She always thinks of others. Actually when I asked her for her Gem she sent me the following testimonial:
“The first thing I noticed about Sharon was that she exuded kindness, and I immediately felt safe while in her company. When I say safe, I mean I knew she as not judging when she listened to you and she would always give you her full attention. She in a sense awakened my spirituality which I am forever grateful. I had always been religious but had struggled with spirituality. I thank God for the gift of Sharon in my life, she is always so generous of herself and her wisdom.”
I was totally touched by this gift she sent and in the meantime she must have realized how Along the Path works and sent the following:
“My best advice to all who are going through difficult times, be your own best friend. The most simple advice but very effective is if a friend came to you with a similar problem what would you tell them? Your advice for others you love should be the same for yourself. We always forget to be supportive and kind to ourselves.” Blessings Despina
This is great advice for all of us to learn. Sometimes we are so busy fixing everyone around us that we forget about ourselves.
Thank you my dear Friend for your wisdom. If anyone is reading this and wants to be a part of Along the Way, please send me a little about yourself and your Gem of Wisdom. I have many Gems to post but I’m sure I can get to everyone eventually.
I will leave you with this quote:

Welcome Back.
This is by far the coolest thing you will ever do.
Quote to Ponder:
“Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.” John D. Rockefeller Jr.
A touch of Grace – Florence Scovel Shinn
Welcome once again, I am so grateful you could come.
A good friend was going through a rough patch and she took the passage out of the book that said “God will Provide”. Whenever she was worried she would say “God will Provide” to herself and others. Well within one month her whole life switched around. She got a great job and met the perfect guy and the rest is history.
It’s almost like when you have a problem and reach for her book she will show you the answer through it.

Dear Friends:
My name is Sharon and I’m the owner of  The Psychic Cottage and I welcome you to my blog.
I am totally excited and grateful to be able to have the opportunity to talk to my clients and friends using this medium (no pun intended). I love blogs even the name makes me smile.
I promise you all here and now that I will do whatever it takes to keep up my blog regularly so you won’t be disappointed. It’s a terrible feeling when you go onto your favourite blog and there is no new material. So through rain sleet, snow and hail I will deliver to you The Psychic Cottage blog (affectionately known as “TPC Blog”).
I have lots of exciting ideas, including freebies, contests and I’m hoping you will give me a little bit of patience while it all evolves.
One of the things I want to do is called “Along the Way”. I want people I have met along my path to be a guest blogger (“bloggee”) and they will share with you a Gem of their own Personal Wisdom.
I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes:
