Tiny Pet Peeve with Tim’s
Hello Dear Friends.
I’m not a whiney person but some things just bother me.
SO I pull into Tim’s today and I’ve noticed lately that when you order a drink and a breakfast sandwich they say “I’ll make that a combo” and I was a little surprised as they usually say “Do you want to make this a combo”. It’s a little confusing because “$0” shows up on the screen.
I didn’t really want a combo but I thought well if its free why not add some unwanted pounds.
Curious as I am I said to the cash person “am I paying extra for a combo?” which she says “yes $0.40”. I’m like I never asked for that and she’s like sorry and that they have been saying that forever. To which I said “naa that’s not true”.
I said ok this time take the money for your tip jar but you won’t get me again. Funny part is they left in the hashbrowns which I threw out because I really didn’t want them in the first place and maybe just maybe I was a little peeved.
I’ve boycotting restaurants for less than this.
Totally on the big picture this is silly but I’m not going to let anyone push me around.

No commentsLily Gets a checkup
Good morning. I spent my morning waiting for our lovely Lily Mirage to get its check up.
I love this car. We had a blue one before and my husband got in an accident which pushed him into another car and out he walked no harm done. Car was totalled but as long as my hubby was fine. Now we have a white one.
When she was in they said there are two recalls. Does that ever just make you a bit leery? It didn’t sound like much when he explained it and I’m glad they are on the ball but makes you wonder what else is going on in these cars of ours.
When I get in any car I ask Archangel Michael to be there and protect the car and the people in it and the people all around ending with “Archangel Michael with your sword of cobalt blue please protect us” making a swooping motion with my arm.
Crazy probably but it does give me comfort.
Last night I had the craziest dreams. What was up with the planets? They were like nightmares with a bizarre touch.
If they have anything to do with what my subconscious is thinking I’d say I’m a bit messed up!
Nothing else much to chat about. I’m having a well deserved day off.
Be happy.

No commentsAre we Judged by Our Intent?
Hello! Welcome to The Psychic Cottage blog.
I was thinking today about what makes a difference in the world and how God keeps score.
I really don’t feel it is something we do intentionally. Like I’m going out to do this because I know there will be some good karma in it. Still up over doing nothing or doing something mean I guess. Of course do good things that makes sense but I think the big over the top score comes in when you help people or something and you have no idea that you are even doing it.
If we talk about it do we lose points? If someone is watching do we lose points? Is there any point system at all? Is that how we get good things to happen to us is to have no idea what we are doing and doing it well?
Maybe the way to look at this is do good things happen to you out of the blue? Maybe that is the score board?
Bobby always says that a relationship is like a bank. You put in and then if you screw up sometimes then you take out but the idea is to always have good things like money in the bank. Is it the same in life?
I think it is those moments that are just spontaneous and forgotten by us that are the ones that are going to get us Brownie points with the Big Guy.
What about ignorance? Are we only judged at the point when we know we should do better or when we do it wrong? Is there a wrong or is there just “is”? With knowledge does come responsibility but is it only at that point that it all happens?
Oh man so many questions. Good thing a year has so many days.
Something to ponder.

Hi Everyone!
How are you doing today out there in blog land? It’s crazy out there with everyone shopping isn’t it? As my husband always says they don’t change the date?
I remember always doing my shopping on Christmas Eve and I remember going downtown with my wonderful sister-in-law Darlene for our Swiss Chalet lunch. That is a good Christmas memory for sure.
I have to tell you I never quite got the whole Christmas thing? Nothing to do with religion as far as I’m concerned because wasn’t Jesus born in June according to the planets and stars? I think if you check into it it was done by the powers that be to offset some sort of pagan celebration. Oh well whatever it is it is and I guess any day that brings family together is a good thing and any day to celebrate Jesus and goodness is also good. I guess practicing what he taught is even better.
I know people born later in May don’t really get Christmas as they are usually in a Saturn time which is a bit depressing anyway.
Sure I had the tree (pink) and everything when the kids were small and loved Christmas morning for them but after they are older it’s really just a gift exchange.
I love when people are into it and they decorate everything and get excited. How spirited they are and I do adore that. Passion in any form is tops in my book.
So I guess I’m just a Scrooge is what this blog is saying. Sorry! Happier tidings next blog.

No commentsNo Socks
Good day everyone. How are you this wonderful day?
It’s sunny out. Yippy! I know its not spring yet but it is lovely nonetheless. See this winter wasn’t that long, NOT.
Did you know that Einstein never wore socks. He said they were not worth the effort.
I was thinking today that I have not worn socks all winter. I go from my nerdy boots to my moccasins which I carry with me if I’m going somewhere.
I was also thinking I get what he means now.
Socks are a bit of a pain when you are not organized as they seem to get lost. I even started buying the same kind and colour so if they are lost who cares just match them up with the next one.
I thought cheapy ones and if they dissappear who cares but they get holes instantly.
I do love socks though. Fun colours, soft ones, high ones, low ones but they are truly not worth the effort for me.
I’m finding this going barefoot quite liberating.
Spring will have me wearing socks again once I can’t wear boots and can’t wear sandals yet but that’s ok.
I’m thinking a pair of Berkenstocks are in my future. I must be getting (I know “getting?”) old because its all about comfort.

2 commentsMeasuring Happiness
Hi Everyone. Isn’t the energy spinning along so fast! I’m not sure if I’m coming or going which is my normal pace but it seems to be going even faster than that!
I’ll have to spend some down time and get refocused.
I was talking today to a friend and we were talking about happiness. What does it mean when someone says they want to be happy?
We talked about how when you are “totally giddy” how sometimes the pendulum comes down in a painful swoop and balances the other way. Eeuw is all I can say to that.
So how do we find the balanced happiness and how do we say to ourselves I’m happy without setting up a preconceived threshold of how much happiness a person can have.
Is true happiness just being in the moment? Is it being in a state of “just being”? That was our conclusion as we discussed other people in our lives that seemed to be happy all the time. I’m like that but then I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m wandering around in la la land and not being grounded.
Sure I have my moments of being down of course like everyone but I’m the happiest when I’m in the moment of just beingness (it’s my blog and if I want to invent words I can, ha ha) . Not worried about the future and not worried about the past. Ahhhhh.

No commentsFringe
Good Evening Dear Friends. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage Blog.
What’s new in your world? I hope you are having fun.
For our anniversary I bought my husband a copy of the First Season of Fringe.
It is so amazing. We totally devoured it.
I’m in love with Walter. He says the best things that make me smile especially when he makes me question our existence here.
Sometimes I think what if our existence here is like a micro second and when we get back to our energy self we say ok I’ll go down again this time I’ll do this or that. To us the existence is 80 or so years. A long time that we have created. Geez you have to wonder sometimes don’t you?
With this “micro second” way of thinking though its hard to get in the thick of it and take things too seriously.
So that’s it I just wanted to tell you that we LOVE Fringe and if you haven’t had a chance to see it check it out. It’s a little “gooey” at times for sure but the lines they use keep you laughing and questioning things.
Quote for you of one of my favourite lines on Fringe:
“Peter: Are you sure?
Walter: My boy, I’m not even sure that we exist on the same plane of consciousness, but yes, I believe so.”

Push or Pull
Hello Dear Friends. How are you? Oh its getting warmer by the day I’m thinking spring is coming real soon!
I have been pondering something lately. We have a door on the kitchen of our office at work and it is a clear door and you can either push it or pull it depending on what you feel like doing.
It has always intrigued me that some people pull it and some people push it when going in or out. I always pulled it until I realized it went both ways and then I’m a total push girl. Pushing is easy to do. You can even use your butt if you have your hands full of coffee or tea or whatever.
Pulling is hard. It takes effort.
I wanted to ask people who pull what kind of people they are? Is life easy or hard for them? I wanted to take a poll (pardon the sort of pun – poll/pull)
Where I’m going with this is that life is kind of like that. Once you figure out that it’s easier to get in the zone and go with the flow life gets easy. Of course there are days we still pull but I’m thinking I want to push to keep my hands free to catch the many miracles coming when I ease through life.

No commentsThe Curve Ball
Good morning my dear and wonderful Friends. Welcome to the TPC Blog.
I hope all your dreams are coming true and that each step you take is one filled with serendipitous moments.
I’ve been pondering life today. It is strange isn’t it? I always say its like a giant pendulum of balance.
It’s so important and much easier to keep your pendulum as calm as possible. Highs and Lows are probably not your best choice.
I read Esther Hicks and Abraham says everything that comes in is a direct result of our thoughts. It makes me think though how special do we have to be so that we can be in that space of awareness. We all do our best to stay positive and bring only this magical good into our life but sometimes “life happens”.
I know where the saying “other shoe is going to drop” came from when I think of this pendulum of life.
I thought of something my son said the other day when we were going into the house. I said to him now the house is a “little” messy. Well he got this huge smile and said “now that’s a curve ball”. He cracks me up.
I thought of this saying though and that is what life is like sometimes. You are going along your merry way thinking this is it life is taking off to that wonderful place of being untouchable and the pendulum switches the curve ball comes out of no where and you are digging out of another lesson.
I guess that’s why we are here on this glorious Earth anyway to learn as well as help others with what we have learned as we all know that with knowledge comes responsibility right? I guess power too.
So that’s it my pondering for the day. Keep your intuition up and your baseball glove and bat ready and remember as bad as it gets is as good as it gets too.
Love and blessings to you all my Friends.

No commentsKeyboard for Blondes
Hi Everyone.
I just found the strangest thing. I know I’m going to get trashed for even mentioning this one.
It’s a keyboard for blondes.
Here’s the Article I saw and here’s the website.
My husband said its a joke Sharon you fall for everything. It’s not though. It’s a real thing.
No I don’t think blondes are dumb nor do I think anyone is dumb for that matter. To judge anyone or anything with such a wide scope would be preposterous and arrogant. I just find this whole thing odd.
Oh no I can feel the comments now for writing this. They are pretty though without the dumb stuff. I think I just like it because its pink.
If however there are talking keyboards wouldn’t it be cool to have one that says positive affirmations that you could program in. “You are incredible” “You are gifted.” “You are Amazing”. Hmm, maybe I’m onto something. Mine would totally have to be pink though.
