Freedom 55

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

Well today I turn 55! It’s a funny reflective age really. A fun number of new beginnings.

There is going to be lots of changes coming for the Psychic Cottage so I will keep you posted. I will continue of course to do readings while I reflect along the way.

Thank you all for being there in my 54th year and I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces in my 55th.

Mustard Seed

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the “Mustard Seed” from the bible.

“…. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

It started because of the Vision Board Workshop that Monique did. I thought we really should put a Mustard Seed on there as the whole Vision Board is a Board of Faith.

I went into my jewellery and dug out my mustard seed necklace to see what the energy will bring me.

I don’t really like it because it looks like a combination of a “boob”‘ and an”evil eye”.  I ordered but didn’t see it. Evil Boob necklace, ha ha. None of which the Mustard Seed is about. I will have faith that it is pretty.

I’m learning to love it.

This blog was meant to be spiritual and turned into something that really should be on sugarmoon but hey “did I tell you about my bump on my head” hee hee hee.

I’m allowed to be wonky!

So dear Friends. Happy Mother’s Day weekend and “have faith” like a mustard seed.

Rita MacNeil

Hi Everyone!

I was so saddened to hear that the lovely Rita MacNeil passed over.

One of my fondest memories is when my sister Diane (Lavender Lady) and I went to Cape Breton and visited Rita’s teahouse.

We had such fun. Here is my sister and I sipping our tea with our Rita cups!

The food was wonderful and we said wouldn’t it be so cool if Rita popped by! Well we looked out the window and lo and behold guess who was coming in.

After lunch we asked if she would mind us taking a picture with her. Being so lovely she said yes even though I’m sure she just wanted to be left alone to have her tea.

This picture is a treasured one.

The world is a little less bright without Rita in it. God Bless you Rita and thank you for being You!

Let the Worry Bird Worry for You

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

How are you this glorious morning? The birds are singing and the temperature is rising! Gotta love that.

The other day when talking to the lovely Angela she mentioned something about a Worry Bird. I can’t quite remember the story entirely but she mentioned something about a worry bird necklace that people would touch when they had a worry.

Not letting the grass grow under my feet….hee hee…I immediately had to have one. I went onto the internet and found my little worry bird.

I received it yesterday. Look how cute it is. I just copied this one from ebay but it’s the same thing.

Now mine is up right this one seems a little drunk! No wonder he isn’t worrying, giggle. The bottom says let me do your worrying. How adorable eh?

I knew there had to be a story to it so I started digging and there is a song from Two Tickets to Broadway called “Let the Worry Bird Do the Worrying for you”. I found it on youtube for you but can’t copy here for some reason known only to the Computer Gods.

It did work for my Sugarmoon Cottage blog though so you can see here!

Such delightful fun.

Thanks Angela!

Listen to Your Heart!

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone!

It’s been a long time since I wrote on this blog. The Betwixt and Between blog and the Current Buzz has kind of taken over and I have been ignoring this one!

I have been thinking about how sometimes we try and control our lives when really we just have to let go and let spirit take over the drivers seat. Well we still have to walk forward but we have to learn how to listen.

Last night I had a dream it was very clear and the words were “It’s all ok. It all works out in the End.”

It’s so true isn’t it? We might go this way or that way but it all works out in the end.

I like that.

Pink Cup Memories

Category: memories

Hi Everyone.

Just sitting here at Jester’s Court waiting on my next reading.

This morning my husband brought me breakfast in bed and you can read about that on the Current Buzz but it brought up wonderful memories of my Mother and my childhood.

Every morning my Mom would make my brother and I tea (well half tea half milk) with lots of sugar and in these cute little plastic cups and bring them to my Brother and I in bed to wake us up! Mine was pink and my brothers’ was blue and they were stained from the tea well half of them.

What a wonderful memory.

I am missing my Mom today as I had a wonderful dream about her today. I don’t think it is an anniversary or anything but I sure miss her. Maybe it is Mercury in Retrograde bringing up the past. She was so full of life.

Funny I was looking for the above quote and it said something about May20thand that is my birthday. Funny co-incadink eh?

Be well dear Friends.

What would my Pile look like.

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone!

Happy Family Day.

Today Bobby and I went to breakfast at our favorite restaurant Sunnyside Eateries on King Street in Oshawa and outside in front of the restaurant in the garbage was the contents of one of the upstairs apartments all thrown out in bags and torn apart.

I was so saddened at not only how that got to be there but how it would feel to have your life thrown out for everyone to see. I saw a boot that looked like kind of a nice boot and a costly boot. I thought why would someone buy a pair of $100 boots if they didn’t have their rent paid; I thought why wouldn’t the landlord bring the clothes to the place where people could use them; I thought do they care; I thought did they move…did they pass…..are they in jail….did they move… it made me wonder.

Then I thought what would my pile look like! It would be a lot bigger than that pile for sure! Wouldn’t anyone care about the things that I have collected? Would one of my lone boots be on top of the pile in its luster?

I had the feeling that spirit wanted me to see this stuff all piled up in its sadness.

I do pray that the owners of this “stuff” are safe and will find happiness starting over.

Despair

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello All!

I do apologize for not blogging on this blog as much as I should. As you probably know I do a daily blog on the sugarmoon site which I’m hoping you go onto Betwixt and Between

I decided to write on this blog when I have something that I feel should be shared with you that I feel is a little more spiritual. Explains the few and far between! ha ha.

I was reflective today and thought about sharing something about people in Despair.

Being a psychic sometimes I come across people that are in total despair and I so want to help them and help them see the way out of it and to have faith that everything will turn out fine.

Just in that moment however they can’t see the light at all.

I know that spirit put me there once or twice so that I see what its like and that you really are stuck in that dark place but I wish so much that I had a magic pill or a way to show them something magical in their future that will help them to hang on just a little bit longer.

It’s even harder sometimes when the person has picked up a way to make the light shine just a little less brighter. I guess that is what addictions do. I totally know that they are in their right place and that hopefully spirit is watching over them and waiting for them to look up and forward but it is a very hard place to be.

Sometimes spirit will wake me up to do a soul rescue of someone that is in spirit and in a dark place and it is very doomy and scary. I can’t even  imagine being stuck there for a long time. Sometimes when they won’t budge and I can’t get them to see the light I will light a candle and pierce the darkness so that they can see just a glimpse of the light. Once they see it all “heaven” breaks out (didn’t want to say h*ll) and they can see their way onto the other side. I so want spirit to give me a tool in these situations… a way to be able to do that for people on our side. I wonder how similar these situations really are. Sometimes suggesting they get help from something doesn’t get heard.

I was listening to something the other day and the person said “Darkness is just the absence of light”. Very true. Also, when you think about it a speck of light can light up a dark room but a speck of dark cannot put out a room full of light. Kind of interesting.

We can only assume that God has a plan and that our angels are waiting there to help. Pray for Mother Mary to send down your angels to you if you are feeling this way as I have learned along the way that God is Good.
