Giant Pink Pen

January 12th, 2011 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone. I’m just getting ready for the radio show and I was thinking that I had to tell you about my giant pink pen.

Even though I have millions of pens in the house I can never seem to find one that works so I have found the solution to my dilemma.

I was at Staples the other day and they had this huge pink pen. It’s great. I can always find it because its bigger than life (it has to be 10/12 inches long) and its fun to use! I’m thinking of going to get another one! Maybe bright green or they had some pretty printed ones.

Problem solved. Who knew it was that easy.

I know small things amuse small minds. Ha Ha

.

Did you check out that blackberry video. It is so hilarious. My friend Cynthia had it on her blog. Check it out here. It makes you think of how crazy we are sometimes.

Don’t forget tomorrow night is the Numerology Cupcake get together at The Violet Door in Bowmanville! It’s going to be good!

Motivation, Passion & Cupcakes – Home Edition

Good Morning Everyone and I mean morning its like 6 am.

I have been doing Motivation, Passion & Cupcakes for a lovely group of women in the Newcastle area in their different beautiful homes and it has been such a rewarding experience for me. Although I am the facilitator sometimes I think it is me that is having all the fun! They have a name for the group and their own newsletter which I generate for them and every month we pick a different topic.

Last night we did numerology which is the same class I will be doing on Thursday at The Violet Door. It was a great success. I loved watching them laughing and grinning ear to ear throughout the evening. In the few months we have been having these get togethers they are blossoming in front of my eyes. I do not believe it is the Inspirational Get togethers that is doing it (although it might be the vehicle to get them together) it is the sisterhood that is doing it. The sharing, the caring and of course the cupcakes (lol). It moves home to home and they get to share their homes with each other and the support system is obviously starting to happen. They have touched each others’ lives as well as mine.

I am extremely blessed to be part of this group and I’m hoping that other women think about having a group of their own with their friends so that this energy can continue.

It is the same at The Violet Door with these get togethers. Although the people change each time there are a few that have continued from the beginning and when I see their smiling face each time I know that spirit was up to something when asking me to do these little get togethers. The dynamics are different at The Violet Door as it is a little less intimate and we have the honour of having men at this group which changes it a bit in a wonderful way!

Totally awesome for me.

Thanks everyone for being you!

Measuring Happiness

January 10th, 2011 | Category: Musings by Sharon,Ponderings

Hi Everyone. Isn’t the energy spinning along so fast! I’m not sure if I’m coming or going which is my normal pace but it seems to be going even faster than that!

I’ll have to spend some down time and get refocused.

I was talking today to a friend and we were talking about happiness. What does it mean when someone says they want to be happy?

We talked about how when you are “totally giddy” how sometimes the pendulum comes down in a painful swoop and balances the other way. Eeuw is all I can say to that.

So how do we find the balanced happiness and how do we say to ourselves I’m happy without setting up a preconceived  threshold of how much happiness a person can have.

Is true happiness just being in the moment? Is it being in a state of “just being”? That was our conclusion as we discussed other people in our lives that seemed to be happy all the time. I’m like that but then I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m wandering around in la la land and not being grounded.

Sure I have my moments of being down of course like everyone but I’m the happiest when I’m in the moment of just beingness  (it’s my blog and if I want to invent words I can, ha ha) . Not worried about the future and not worried about the past. Ahhhhh.

My New Cell Phone

January 07th, 2011 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Morning Everyone. What’s new in your world?

I thought I was the only one in the world without a cell phone so when I was getting gas the other day at  Petro Canada there was a cute little pink one and I said to Bobby I should probably get one of those one day to have in the car. The problem with the pay as you go is I do more paying than going. I never use the thing and then the next month is there and my time is all gone. This one is good because I can have the time for a long time even if I don’t use it.

I didn’t get it as it was only a ponder at the time but Bobby brought it home for me the next day. I think it gives him some comfort when I’m running all over with my little Daisy.

I remember the one time I probably should of had a cell phone I was driving this old clunker named Lucy and she kind of did this sputtering thing and left me at the side of the road in the middle of no where. So I did what anyone else would do I said “OK God I’m here and no one knows I’m here so can you send someone along for me whose safe”.

Sure enough along comes Martin to my rescue. I think he was an Angel. He stopped right after I said that and he lent me his cell phone to call Bobby and sat with me and then when Bobby came he said ok gotta go someone else up there needs my help.

Our next car we bought was a Matrix and we called him Martin.

I’m not suggesting this to anyone out there to do as sometimes I do march to a different drum. Probably staying in your car with the doors locked until CAA comes is my suggestion to you and of course always have a cell phone. I knew though I was safe and I guess that is part of being a psychic.

I was all excited and sent my son a text and said  “Mama can Text” and he wrote back and said he didn’t get anything with a big happy face beside it. Oh well I tried.”. Back to email I guess until I figure this silly phone out.

Now I can dream of one day actually owning a blackberry and I can be one of those people that stare into it day in and day out. Actually, I’m in my own little world anyway if I bought one of those things I’d be walking into walls. I hope we don’t all morph into people with these little tiny thumbs. Someone should be measuring the thumbs of the new people coming to the planet.

Geez and I thought it was peace within that provided happiness! Ha Ha.

I’m Nesting!

January 04th, 2011 | Category: In the Kitchen with Sharon,Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone. (Warning you may get dizzy when reading this blog map needed.)

I’m not sure what has happened to me in this new year but I actually am cooking AGAIN! You got it AGAIN!

Like Geez Louise what is up with the Universe!

Did you check your astrologyzone this month. WOW is all I can say. Lots of action going. Apparently all the planets are moving forward at once which is rare with nothing in retrograde. Now read for yourself as I could be wrong on this one as someone told me about it but it does feel very powerful.

Who knew it would take me 12 planets all pushing me forward to cook!

Oh back to my cooking (forewarned you).  I’m making……..hold your breathe……..brownies.

Ok they are in a box but still I’m cooking. They are in my little convection toaster oven as I write this. I’ll have to remember to not forget about them half finished or something. I do do that sometimes.

(OK during this blog I went to check on them and I needed a toothpick. Who has a wooden toothpick nowadays. They are brutally bad on your teeth. I use those cute little ones with the brush. Like really? So I just put back in for a bit longer in case.)

OK friends with this energy please do something that you know you can’t do or are procrastinating on as it feels like that kind of energy! Here’s hoping it happens for you if its meant to be.

I’ll keep you posted on the brownies. Why me? Actually Bobby is probably saying why me too, ha ha.

Oh he is not feeling much better. I dragged him to the doctor kicking and screaming. I always count the files when we go in so I can keep track of how long it is going to be and there were 18 files. Yuck. Everyone hacking and snorting. I wasn’t sure I’d get out alive.

So now he has some stuff to take and hopefully will feel better real soon.

It was hilarious when Bobby told the lady behind the counter that I dragged him in there she said you were probably whining. She must be psychic too!

The quote below is for my sister. The reason is I (and Carolyn of Sands of Time Tarot (my partner in crime))went and peaked in at this store that came available that was so small and cute probably like 350 square feet and I wanted to see it. It was used as a grooming place (nothing like my wonderful niece’s place that I talk about whose store is clean and sparkly). This place smelled of well you know. So I told my sister (the wonderful Lavender Lady) I  was looking at it and how kind of gross it was and later that day received this email from her:

“What a p*ss off but meant to be. Urine good hands with the universe cause they didn’t let you make a wrong move.”  LL

She cracks me up.

Oops I forgot the brownies gotta go.

The Thought was There

January 04th, 2011 | Category: In the Kitchen with Sharon,Musings by Sharon

Good Glorious Morning everyone. What’s cookin’? Pardon the pun.

So I made my Soup yesterday as I talked about and you know I don’t know why I always forget but pasta expands bigger than you can imagine. When it’s little and cute I always want to put more in the soup and when it gets in the soup and sits there it totally expands and takes over.

Also when we were at our friends Debbie of Spiral Turtle she put this cute little soup mix in her soup and it was so good. I guess I didn’t watch close enough because it stayed hard in the soup I made.

Now you know why I don’t even try cooking (if it doesn’t start with a T) and why my kids won’t eat anything I make (unless it starts with a T).

We all have our gifts I guess cooking isn’t one of mine!

Bobby is recovering slowly I’m taking him to the doctor today because he is NEVER sick. This is strange for him.

Talk soon I’m going to look up all the foods that start with a T. Somehow I don’t think it is going to be like the amazing tourtiere that Rachel showed us a picture of in her blog The Stay Lucky. I think my T foods will have to not be in French. New Rules.

My Slow Cooker is Doing its Thing!

January 03rd, 2011 | Category: In the Kitchen with Sharon,Musings by Sharon

Hi everyone. How are you this delightful day? I hope you are having tons of fun.

Don’t faint but I am making soup. Bobby has been so sick so I thought I would help him to get better (or worse, lol) by making him some soup.

I added a few things I don’t normally use like hard soup mix that doesn’t seem to want to get soft (oops) and it smells a little weird but that’s ok. Maybe his taste buds are gone and his smell, ha ha ha. Poor guy.

I had the pleasure today of visiting someone in the City for a reading. She was so lovely and she had this cool dog called a Havenese. I want one!

I’m feeling a little strange today. I think there is some kind of planetary thing going on that is having an effect on me. Very odd (‘er than normal).

Ok back to my soup. Hopefully the soup fairy will visit and fix it up! Ha Ha.

My Twelve Grapes Are Ready for Eating

December 31st, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone.

It’s 11:48 and I’m waiting for midnight! Bobby is fast asleep. I kept him up long enough to do his new years’ box I talked about in my last blog and then he was out like a light.

We went to wallmart tonight and the young cashier was so excited and couldn’t wait to party and I said well we are lucky if we can stay up to midnight and she cracked up.

I can’t believe another year is here. 2011. I’m wondering if it will go just as fast as last year. Just think 2012 is the year after. The long awaited year so soon.

I have read in a few articles that it is a tradition to eat 12 grapes at midnight in a row! It is supposed to ward off evil and bring in prosperity. One for each month. I’m sitting here waiting to do it with my grapes in hand. If you call me at midnight and you can’t understand what I’m saying its because my mouth is full of grapes!

I’m excited about 2011. A whole new year to celebrate. Yippy!
