My Twelve Grapes Are Ready for Eating
Hi Everyone.
It’s 11:48 and I’m waiting for midnight! Bobby is fast asleep. I kept him up long enough to do his new years’ box I talked about in my last blog and then he was out like a light.
We went to wallmart tonight and the young cashier was so excited and couldn’t wait to party and I said well we are lucky if we can stay up to midnight and she cracked up.
I can’t believe another year is here. 2011. I’m wondering if it will go just as fast as last year. Just think 2012 is the year after. The long awaited year so soon.
I have read in a few articles that it is a tradition to eat 12 grapes at midnight in a row! It is supposed to ward off evil and bring in prosperity. One for each month. I’m sitting here waiting to do it with my grapes in hand. If you call me at midnight and you can’t understand what I’m saying its because my mouth is full of grapes!
I’m excited about 2011. A whole new year to celebrate. Yippy!

Until we meet again next year, Sharon

Heppy New Year! I once read that some believe whatever you are doing at midnight you’ll be doing for the rest of the year! I guess you’ll be eating grapes and I’ll be going about in a fog! (I was driving through a pea soup fog at midnight.)
Here’s hoping a tall dark man with a lump of coal arrives early to your home! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Suzanne!
