Yard Work and Funny Neighbours

Category: Musings by Sharon

Welcome to the TPC Blog on this wonderful day. Ahhh it is so beautiful here in Ontario. God is good.

I have a funny story to tell.

My husband looks completely different as he lost 100 pounds (yes you heard me right) on Weight Watchers. I’m very proud of him and he is now actually a Leader for Weight Watchers as he believes in it so much. Yes I too am a member as it’s just too hard to have two people in the same house not eating the same. I relented kicking and screaming all the way. I think it was the time when he was exercising and I was sitting on the couch watching TV eating Häagen-Dazs that was the last straw. So when the moon was right I too joined. It’s easy when there is a Leader in the house. A little preachy but easy.

So where I was going with this blog is that our neighbour thinks that my husband is a different person. The timing is such that we have a new car in the weight transition and my husband did at one time have a 24 inch pony tail (which he donated to Locks of Love) and has short hair now. Each time my husband is outside doing something the neighbour comes over and starts talking about my husband of 100 pounds ago and saying not nice things about him. I’m not sure why he didn’t like him when he was 100 pounds bigger but I guess we all judge through eyes of our past. It’s the oddest thing because we have the same dogs and he has the same wife so I’m not sure what he is thinking. Maybe he thinks I have a new husband which I kind of do.

My husband takes it all in stride. Personally I think I would at some point show him the before and after pictures (after crying my eyes out) but he just thinks it’s funny. Knowing him he probably joins the conversation sayings things about the old him just to get him going for his own amusement.

Life is so very funny isn’t it.

I will leave you with this quote on this glorious sunny day:

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Mother Teresa

Your Handwriting “Really Can” Change Your Life!

Welcome Back to the TPC Blog.

I was listening to one of Louise Hay’s tapes a few days ago and I heard something that I never heard before even though I listened to this tape for years. It said that Louise Hay changed her handwriting later on in life.

This totally intrigued me and I found out that she worked with Vimala Rodgers who wrote the book “Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life“. I fell in love with this book and the teachings of Vimala. I bought it for people I knew, spoke about it to anyone who would listen and I did some personal consultations with her.

It made perfect sense to me. If your handwriting can be analyzed to tell a story about who you are why can’t you reverse that and make your handwriting create the person you want to be.

Vimala is one of those people who are totally dedicated to making the world a better place. She radiates a passion about her work that is totally contagious. She convinces you real fast that your dreams can become a reality. You have the dream and she gives you the tools to get there.

Your writing has such an impact on your life. It’s hard to believe really but when you see things shifting and manifesting you know its real.

I won’t fool you it takes dediction but the benefits far exceed the discipline to get there. My website and my office to do readings was a dream I carried around for years. Now I’m living my dream in my little office doing what I love. Sure its not exactly as I had planned but it never is. In the end its usually better.

God Bless you Vimala and thank you for being in my life.

I will leave you with a quote:

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”
Jim Rohn

Selling Your House? Let St. Joseph Help You.

Category: St. Joseph

Welcome Everyone.

I was digging around in articles I’ve written in the past and came across something I wrote when my friend needed to sell her house. I thought I’d share it with you for your entertainment. Needless to say there is never a dull moment when you are around me.

“St. Joseph and Heather’s House

I wanted to share an experience with you that will help you if you are trying to sell your house.

As we all know there are those times when we just need that extra little edge, a foot in the door of heaven, a hey yoo hoo God, its me, I need some help down here. This story is about one of those times.

My friend, Heather, called me in a panic. I need your help she says. My house has to sell quick and the market isn’t that great because there are so many houses for sale in the area, and you know, my house may need a little work before selling. Can you do one of your little things you do so it all works out?

Now you don’t know me but a chance to help a friend and have a little fun in at the same time? Hey I’m in. Bring on the challenge.

So I start digging around the homestead, looking through books and my boxes (yes I know I moved in long time ago but unpacking isn’t my specialty) of papers and the consensus is “St. Joseph“. He’s the one to help Heather sell her house. Dilemma, where do I get a statue of St. Joseph? Lo and behold I’m off to the religious shops where I hear, sorry, you have to go to a more structured store which I will leave unnamed where they sell saints.

Now I’m not one too struck on structured religion and fire and brimstone frightens me. I’m not judging and I’m glad it works for some and whatever floats your boat right, so what to do? I take a deep breath, think about Heather, friendship prevails and I’m off to that store.

Now I’m really a chicken so I drag my Honey. He’s been through way worse with me (and it is through thick and thin right?) so off we go.Honey says on our way to the store (in his Sharon what did you get us into this time voice) ” you WHAT bury a St. Joseph statue, in the ground, on his head? Well, I said, all sassy like, Ya How else can Heather sell her house. Then I did the little geez look and clucking sound (that he hates) that means don’t you know anything? I get the standard rolled eye response very glad at this point that looks are only that. Then I put my hand on my nose with the wedding ring to remind him that he’s in for life. Just for fun. He chose me right?

So in we go. I take a deep breath hoping no one knows what I’m up to. My husband is all brave, that’s one of the reasons I adore him. He starts talking to the man at the store about a St. Michael necklace (now I’m not sure if he really wanted one before heading into the store or if getting in there he remembered that St. Michael was the one who cast Satan out of heaven and he thought there might be some bad ju ju in what we we’re doing here and maybe this necklace might be a good purchase at this time but he decided to buy it.)

Anyway, so as my Husband is making his big purchase I use the diversion to start looking around. There are tons of them. I’m thinking which one? I’m totally frustrated and confused and I’m just about to expose my mission to the man at the store when there it is, the St. Joseph House selling kit right there in open view behind the cash. I was almost giddy but tried to act cool. My Husband knows me like no one and knew something was up. So I said, oh what’s that, I have a friend whose selling her house, she might need that. All calm like when really I felt like jumping up and down and singing my find to the world.

The man says, oh that’s been around for years, I used it and sold my house in 5 days. How much I said? Twelve Dollars he says. I said, ok I’ll take it. I didn’t want him to know it was like GOLD. I realized at that point that God really does have a sense of humour.

Now I go to that store all the time to stock up. I’m forever giving away little St. Michael and Miracle charms.

Anyway, I bring my find to my friend’s house all excited like. Now Heather has a trust in me like no other and would try anything once but I did get this e-mail the next day.

“Sharon this better work, the neighbours, and my family I might add, think I’m nuts. I was out there in the pouring rain burying my little statue beside the for sale sign thinking the whole time that God was going to strike me with lightening for burying poor St. Joseph upside down in the ground not to mention the karma I might get.”

I calmly write back. Trust me. I can’t help at this point to snicker a bit because I’m just as skeptical.

We talk hourly, Heather and I, but the big call came five days later. I sold, she says, the house sold. How cool is that?

What can I say but I guess when we need a little faith its there for all of us.”

I’ll leave you with one of my favourite Proverbs:

“Fear knocked at the door and faith answered. No one was there.” Old English Proverb

Until we meet again, Sharon

P.S. If you need one of these little kits I’ve seen them at the Violet Door in Bowmanville and I know the Hedgewitch in Sharon has some too.

Some Things Just Crack Me Up.

Category: Musings by Sharon

Welcome once again.

Some times I just get the giggles about peculiar things. Anything can trigger them.

Probably because I live too much in my head. My husband says I’m like a goose. I just walk around in my own little world and I don’t pay attention to certain things. I know when I’m doing it around him because he will say “honk”. I just laugh and go along my merry way.

Thank goodness I have a serious day job or I would probably disappear somewhere in the clouds.

I love people. I love watching what makes them tick. It intrigues me. Probably why I love being a psychic so much. When I’m doing a reading it creates a whole story and what’s most important in a person’s life. It humbles me that people share their life with me. I do my best working with my guides to help the person let go of the past and move forward into a new adventure. Sometimes I think people are just looking for permission to let go and move forward.

I don’t know if you have ever gone onto Venus Andrecht’s site but she is hilarious and she says life should be a series of adventures. I agree with her.

The other night just before sleep I was going through my list of things to do in my head and I said to my husband don’t forget to think of your Gem of Wisdom for my blog. He said I already have it then he starts saying some dirty Limerick he learned when he was young. This set me off into uncontrollable laughter and he kept it up with different ones. We laughed hysterically until we fell asleep from exhaustion. My life is good.

Along the Way with my guest Despina.

Category: Gems Along the Way

Welcome back to the TPC Blog.

Along the Way is something I thought would be fun. I ask friends and people I meet on my path to write a small paragraph of something they’ve learned from their life so far and want to share. That one Gem of Wisdom that they feel is the most important they would share if they could.

Our Bloggee today is a good friend of mine Despina. She is a very giving person. She always thinks of others. Actually when I asked her for her Gem she sent me the following testimonial:

“The first thing I noticed about Sharon was that she exuded kindness, and I immediately felt safe while in her company. When I say safe, I mean I knew she as not judging when she listened to you and she would always give you her full attention. She in a sense awakened my spirituality which I am forever grateful. I had always been religious but had struggled with spirituality. I thank God for the gift of Sharon in my life, she is always so generous of herself and her wisdom.”

I was totally touched by this gift she sent and in the meantime she must have realized how Along the Path works and sent the following:

“My best advice to all who are going through difficult times, be your own best friend. The most simple advice but very effective is if a friend came to you with a similar problem what would you tell them? Your advice for others you love should be the same for yourself. We always forget to be supportive and kind to ourselves.” Blessings Despina

This is great advice for all of us to learn. Sometimes we are so busy fixing everyone around us that we forget about ourselves.

Thank you my dear Friend for your wisdom. If anyone is reading this and wants to be a part of Along the Way, please send me a little about yourself and your Gem of Wisdom. I have many Gems to post but I’m sure I can get to everyone eventually.

I will leave you with this quote:

“The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” Carl Jung

Getting in the Flow by Giving Away a Dollar a Day.

Welcome Back.

This is by far the coolest thing you will ever do.

I have always been interested in new ways to bring the energy of money in my life. It’s not even the money it’s more the fun of doing it. I guess when it works you know it works because it produces something. Gives you proof.

I recently came across Todd Silva’s website.

Todd Silva found himself in a situation where he lost his savings through some bad investments and was left feeling very vulnerable. He surrendered up to the universe and started praying and meditating and he was given the following message: “Give Away.A Dollar A Day

He was totally flabbergasted obviously at first saying like there’s nothing there to give but he listened thankfully for the rest of us and the results were spectacular. His life completely changed.

I loved this idea as soon as I heard it. It just made sense. Give and watch what comes back.

The idea of this wonderful gift is that each day you give away a dollar. You don’t control it (oh you will try to) and you leave it somewhere every day. You don’t plan on who gets it or anything.

The whole giving thing opens you up to receiving wonderful things. Todd’s website will explain everything and he never asks you to send him anything which was confirming for me that it works.

The most fun I’m having with all this is watching people’s reactions when I tell them what I’m doing. You really know peoples’ money issues when sharing this way to give and receive. Let’s see I’ve heard: What? Are you Crazy? I’m following you everywhere and taking your dollar? There is no guarantee it wll work? The list goes on and on. All relating to the world not providing enough. Poverty mentality.

Once they see all the wonderful things that start happening though they are the first ones to say “Did you do your dollar today?” It took my husband a week of watching me receive to start. His first week he received a call from a company he’s been trying to into for years. He was on the radio. He won a double jackpot at the casino. His list goes on and on and mine is the same. It just doesn’t stop. You keep thinking…come on it’s just a coincidence… its going to stop. then bam something amazing happens again.

It’s not for everyone although it should be. One of my son’s said “Mom, do you realize that is this much per month, this much per year, with interest you are spending….etc.” My other son said while I was telling him at the bank. Ok and left a dollar at the teller machine. The next day he received some information on a car he was buying that had to be divinely gifted. Everything fell into place. He called and said “It works!”

The first day or so weirds you out a bit but once the energy starts snowballing around you,.you can’t wait to get out there and give away your dollar. I have so much fun with it. I’ve put them in post boxes, shipping boxes, on the street, parking meters. I’ve finally detached from who gets it. Todd says on his blog that there is someone in the US who makes little origami animals out of his dollars and puts them around. We won’t be able to get that creative with our loonie but that’s ok.

There are so many things that have happened since I started doing this. It opens up an unexpected flow of giving and receiving. You have to ask yourself are you willing to give it a shot. I was and I’m glad I did.

Quote to Ponder:

Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege. John D. Rockefeller Jr.

A touch of Grace – Florence Scovel Shinn

Welcome once again, I am so grateful you could come.

I wanted to write about my favourite author, Florence Scovel Shinn.

The glorious Ms. Shinn came into my life in 2002. I was on holidays with my family in a little town in Ontario. I was at an antique store and my son’s girlfriend at the time handed me an antique book called “The Game of Life and How to Play it.” She said it was so “me”. It was dated 1925. I bought it and couldn’t stop reading it over and over. It literally changed my way of thinking about life. It was like magic. The words resonate beauty and truth. I feel I have looked for this book my whole life. I treasure my book and have since bought and read many times all four of her books all included in “The Writings of Florence Scovel Shinn”. This book never gets very far from me as I pick it up daily.

Although she lived in another time her books still touch the hearts of anyone who reads them. These books leave the reader forever changed in their Grace.

A good friend was going through a rough patch and she took the passage out of the book that said “God will Provide”. Whenever she was worried she would say “God will Provide” to herself and others. Well within one month her whole life switched around. She got a great job and met the perfect guy and the rest is history.

It’s almost like when you have a problem and reach for her book she will show you the answer through it.

God Bless Florence Scovel Shinn. May you live forever in our hearts.

“Giving opens the way for receiving.” Florence Scovel Shinn
