The Art of Receiving

May 31st, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Welcome Everyone.

I was discussing the other day with someone close to me the art of receiving.

Why is it so easy to give and so hard to receive? So many givers when it comes to the time for the person or the Universe to return the favour refuse to receive. Even compliments sometimes.  Not sure if it is some sort of non deserving kind of thing but it does set up a person for poverty mentality.

Someone told me once long time ago if you refuse someone giving you something or doing a favour for you, you are actually not giving them the right to feel like you do when you give. That snapped me out of it fast.

I love to give. I would not want to take that feeling of giving away from someone at all.

Isn’t money the same thing? When it comes time for the Universe to send back lots of cash in your direction do you put up your energy boundary and say NOPE not here! I think the person over there needs it more than me.

Not me! Money is like air and it will be directed to the people that are ready to receive it! I’m in! Bring it On!

Not only money but goodies too! Even good energy.

Make your vessel as big as you want it. Make your doors as wide as you can. Make your heart as open as you can to receive. God Loves you more than you know.

If It’s Meant to be No One Can Stop It.

May 30th, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good day everyone! Welcome to The Psychic Cottage Blog.

Just so you know I have increased the prices on my readings and they are effective as at June 1st. If you send in something before June 1st,  I will give you the old price and send back the difference. Just so you know.

I was talking to someone today and I used the old saying that someone told me long time ago when I was struggling with something or other “If it’s meant to be no one can stop it. If it’s not meant to be no one can make it happen.”

Sometimes we try so hard to control the outcome of things. We hit our head against the wall wondering what we can do to make it happen. We change ourselves. We pray and pray really hard to make it happen.

I believe though that sometimes we just have to let go.

As Venus always says “God Always gets his way anyway.”

When things are really hard for me and I keep hitting a brick wall every step I take I kind of start to think that maybe I’m not meant to go that way. When the doors swing open and everything is easy breezy I usually walk right through.

Isn’t that a better way to live than having life push you back?

Something to think about.

Afformations

May 29th, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Welcome Everyone!

Have you heard of Afformations? not affirmations “afformations”.

Noah St. John has come up with the cool idea of Afformations which is kind of like doing your affirmations but in the form of a question.

Example: “Why does money come to me so easily?”

It’s like instead of an affirmation where the brain tries to make sense of it and make it happen the question releases it out to the Universe for the answer.

I haven’t explored the wheres or the whys I’m just kind of playing with it now but I’m sure there is a clever reason that your brain interprets a question in a way that will help you. I’m getting the book though and will keep you posted.

My friend Despina is always up on everything and she turned me onto it. She’s great that way.

Oops Forgot!

May 28th, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone!

I have been doing my blogs ahead of time and and it looks like I forgot to do one today for Psychic Cottage! Double Oops!

How so very tardy of me! I do apologize.

The energy has been a little scattered lately and I’m having a hard time focusing. More hard than usual! Is anyone else having the same problem?

Nothing floating down a river in a tube with a margarita (virgin) wouldn’t solve!

OK I’ll be back in form tomorrow with something deep!

Worry and Fear

May 27th, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Day! I hope this blog finds you well and happy.

I wanted to talk a bit about worry and fear.

We all do it. Anyone with children or family or friends or anyone they love will do it at some time or another. They may even do it about themselves.

The problem with worry is that it goes out there and creates the very thing that we are worried about. Kind of an odd dilemma isn’t it?

Our thoughts create our future so if we are sending out worry and fear we just get lots more back to worry about so that we are “right”. Do we want to allow our ego to be right or do we want to be happy?

Wouldn’t it be great if we were all enlightened enough to catch ourselves from this worry and fear once we find ourselves doing it and say “Cancel that Thought” and send out a positive vibe!

Ie. Let’s say your child goes out for the night. Your first thoughts are about when they are coming home safe even though you want them to have a good time. You think about someone and you think I hope they are well and this or that didn’t happen. When someone is sick you automatically go to fear.

Well Fear and Faith can’t live in the same moment so what we are all going to try and do is “Cancel Negativity” in the moment and then replace it with something good.

So we think “Oh crap I hope my son or daughter is fine.” then we say “Cancel that thought” and replace it with something like “I send out love to my son or daughter and circle them with loving light from the Universe as they are always safe in Gods hands.”

Well whatever you feel like saying right?

Isn’t that better then the above where you get freaked out, the children or whomever you are worried about get freaked out from receiving negativity and the Universe even though they always do they will get an extra reminder to allow protection and love to spread around.

Then in the moment calmness happens.

Try sending light and love to strangers and see what comes back to you too!

Crazy world we live in.

Children

May 26th, 2012 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone! How are you this wonderful day?

Today is an important day it is the birthday of my son Michael and my dear friend Paul.

Happy Birthday to you both. Thank you for being you.

I have dedicated my blog on Sugarmoon Cottage to Michael if you care to read it.

It is fun to have children. They are given to us in trust and they will be the first ones to teach us about ourselves sometimes head on.

I think God uses our children to help us see and to get us out of patterns that we have that are self destructive or for us to look inside ourselves.

God is good.

Such a miracle that we can procreate isn’t it? That we have the ability alone is kind of eerie and unimaginable.

I think the hardest part of being a parent is letting them grow and not instilling our own stuff onto them. Well good stuff ok bad stuff not so good.

The children coming in are so smart. They are born of this age. Us older people might not quite get them or understand them but surely we have to acknowledge that they are strong especially in wisdom.

When We are in the Thick of It.

May 24th, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

The Psychic Cottage blog welcomes you and hopes that you are living large.

In my business I get a lot of people calling in total panic when things don’t go well and it is always so sad to watch them go through their stuff.

I’m totally not exempt from this and I don’t want anyone to think that by doing this work that there are no ups and downs like anyone. I think sometimes there are big tests along the way for people that help others.

I will let spirit write this so you and I can maybe learn something about what to do when those moments happen.

The first thing to do when we are going through our “major crap” is to stop and listen as hard as that may be to do. One panicked moment will lead to the next if we don’t do this. The energy from the moment remember goes out and creates the next moment.

So first thing to do is stop and listen. Next step spirit says is to stop reacting immediately. Just be and observe otherwise again you are playing into it.

Watch who we are bringing into these moments to reinforce them. Sometimes the people who love us can be brought into our stuff by our challenging them and wanting them to agree to the dysfunction we are facing.

(Just for clarification we are talking about patterns and odd things we create for ourselves not the loss of someone close to us or something tragic as when those things happen all bets are off and we just get by until we are in a place where it is safe to come out and deal with everyday life.)

It’s almost if we can treat it like a jigsaw puzzle to see where all the parts fit we are in a better place.

If we can learn to enjoy it as an adventure and experience we are in an even better place but I think those so enlightened are far and few between. Dare to dream.

Then spirit says comes the inspection of the problem or the tearing apart of it! Who’s stuff is it? Is it mine? Is this familiar? Have I done this before?

The Ego will keep you in it remember as the chaos it is presenting allows the ego to SHINE!

Pull out your teachers at this point what you have learned from them?

Some of mine are friends and family, EFT, Byron Katie, Dorothy Gagnon, my healer, Soul Genesis, etc. etc.

Sometimes I’ve noticed in life that we are just meant to be still. Make sure it is not one of those moments. If you feel it is get out into nature and just be! Water is good for dumping stuff into.

Write! Writing is something that will help us to unload stuff in our mind when it gets all wound up.

So many things. If you think of something please add it to the comments to we can all learn together.

So that’s what’s on my mind today.

Quotes on Sugarmoon

May 23rd, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Bloggees!

I wanted to tell you this cool thing that I did on the Sugarmoon Cottage website. As you know I am not doing the quotes on the Betwixt and Between blog but I figured out how to still get the quotes as part of it.

At the bottom footers I have a spot for all the quotes from this blog to go on there in a rotation type thing! Very cool!

I’m so proud of myself.

There but for the Grace of God Go I!

May 22nd, 2012 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying this amazing weekend! Yippy!

I have been thinking about something this weekend and have been pondering it a bit.

Do you think that it is our purpose to get through something to help others? I do. It’s not always easy to control our ego to do just that but I’m sure it is what our purpose in life is.

I find it strange when people have a hard time moving through something and then when they get through it they actually point to the people who haven’t and condemn them like they are somehow better than the other person because they made it through. It works a lot like that with smoking. People finally quit and then they become impossible to be around other smokers wondering why they can’t quit. People loss weight and then they point fingers at someone who hasn’t. Someone gets through being a victim of something or other and then points fingers at someone who is still in their stuff. It’s an odd dilemma and one which will always confuse me.

I guess no one is really excempt from this are they. We can only do our best. There will always be pots out there calling kettles black.

I really try to believe that we are all here to help each other. Some are trail blazers and some aren’t. Some are trail blazers for one thing or not in others.

Aren’t we all here to move the energy forward just a bit so that we can all get there?

Venus talks a lot of about God wanting to experience life through us so I guess whatever happens happens really and it is all meant to be.

I rewatched a wonderful dvd that I have had for some time by JZ Knight who channels Ramtha. It is called Create your Day. I love watching her with her eyes of light. She just seems to bring me into her energy. I really know nothing about her school of enlightenment or anything but I do love this video. I watch it to remind myself to be the observer of my life.

This video calms me down when I get hyper.

If you ever get a chance to watch it give it a go. She or he says to plan your day right in the morning upon waking before you get a chance to start planning it from your past. Good advice really.
