Motivation, Passion & Cupcakes at The Violet Door

September 30th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Evening Everyone. How are you this delicious night.

We had a Motivation, Passion & Cupcake Inspirational Get together at The Violet Door tonight in Bowmanville.

Check out the Cupcakes. The were provided by Cuppies by Chris. Delicious.

I found a little lotus container and put my cupcake in for fun for a picture. Kind of looked spiritual.

Here’s what a few of the people that came to the event said about it.

Check it out on youtube here.

The room at the Violet Door is really nice. I like the energy. I can’t wait to start doing readings there.

Thanks Joanne & Brian for the Opportunity and thanks everyone for joining me for the get together.

In the next few weeks we are doing our next one. It’s going to be on astrology and we will discuss everyone’s astrological chart. I will need to know who is coming through before so that I can prepare the charts.

I got the cutest little cupcake book from The Violet Door. I’ll take one of the quotes from there.

Charlotte’s Web

September 29th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Evening Everyone.

I just went to let out the dogs and I had the light on outside and there was this humongous spider web and spider. I have a camera now so you will get to see what excitement I find throughout the day.

Holy Cow! Check it out. It has to be about an inch big and its puffy and round and hairy! How could something that has silk coming out of its butt be so ugly?

It almost got a moth when I was taking the picture. God is so funny sometimes isn’t he making strange little creatures like that. Although they probably think we are strange.

Now I’m a little creeped out by it.

Song for you:

“The itsy bitsy spider
climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain
and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun
and dried up all the rain.
And the itsy bitsy spider
climbed up the spout again.”

P.S. When I showed this to Bobby he said it means career opportunities. Oh ya!

Get Your Mojo Working

September 29th, 2010 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage blog. I hope lovely things are happening for you on this wonderul day the Creator has provided for us.

You all know I love Venus Andrecht. I think she is the best psychic that exists on Earth today. She has a way of making life an easier go.

Venus does these cool things called Mojo’s that her Mom did when she was young.  She said if there was lets say a problem with love she would mention it to her Mom and her Mom would jump up and say “MOJO MOJO” and start shouting positive words and different sounds in a very lively manner that would make everyone happy and would put them in a frame of mind for the problem to be taken care of.

Venus always does these fun mojo’s on her television show and radio show. I remember once after doing one for a man on the radio she said now how do you feel and he said “the truth is I feel a bit wobbly”. That’s exactly how they make you feel.

Now the reason for my telling you all this is that Venus has recorded these mojo’s for us and is selling them on her site for your MP3. I got them and they are so wonderful. I listen to them  and dance around the house smiling and laughing. The recordings are done professionally with so much magic in them between the music and the little child laughing at the beginning who I am assuming is her granddaughter. On one of them, I think its the lucky mojo, there is a man’s voice that says “Oh ya” or something that makes me laugh so much.

I believe there is a special at the moment if you get them all together you pay a little cheaper then if you bought them all separately. Although they are not expensive anyway and so worth it.

I think I’m going to play the Happiness one at the beginning of my Motivation, Passion & Cupcake Inspirational Get-together to get everyone happy and smiling and in the mood for healing. Set the mood.

Divine Travels of the Ha Ha Sisterhood – Day One (Part 2) & Day Two (Part 1)

Hello Everyone. Welcome to the Psychic Cottage Blog. I have a feeling these blogs are going to go on until my next vacation as I’m taking this long to get them out.

So we haven’t travelled very far yet we are still in Pictou.

We stayed at the Evening Sail Bed and Breakfast …….

in the Driftwood Room. …..

Ironically (or I’m sure my sister arranged it that way) that is the name of the street where we grew up near Jane & Finch. Before it was Jane and Finch. The mall was actually a field. Hard to believe eh?

(My sister told me about a cool story about the colour of the building and how it represents long time ago how they would use everything from the whale and the blood to paint the houses but I could find nothing on line about it. If anyone knows about it let me in on it. Although I’m glad they used all the whale it still sounds somewhat creepy to have your house painted in blood. Reminds me of a horror flick.)

Check out the suite. It was so so beautiful. There’s a nice orb over my head in the corner while I’m doing my work. Kind of cool.

All I could think of was Jenny and the City Cottage when I was in this room as I thought she would love it so much. I want a bed like that. Isn’t it wonderful?

So we went out on the town for a bit and we came across a lovely little store called Casper Gifts and Crafts. The cutest thing happened in the store. My sister kept saying that the owner looked like someone and wondered if she knew her. The owner said that everyone thinks she looks just like Elizabeth Manley. My sister realized that this was it and why she looked so familiar. Here’s proof. She let us take her picture. Diane surprised me and bought me a sweet little witches’ hat broach from the store. Our mascot wore it throughout the trip. I’ll show you our mascot later on.

We went to bed early snuggled in our fancy beds with the fire place low after watching some movie about an italian boy and then the big treat in the morning was breakfast at the Evening Sail.

Yum Yum. You won’t believe the spread they put on. She did tell us that it was family style and boy what a family. The table was huge. We were a bit late so I didn’t want to get a picture when everyone was eating but check out the table. They said that when they bought the Bed and Breakfast that the table came with it and apparently it is two tables put together so it stayed where it was and was only moved when they cleaned which I’m thinking is continuously as the place was imaculate.

Evening Sail is owned by a Mother, Gail, and Daughter, Michelle team.

Now let me tell you about the breakfast. Oh I would so stay there again. It was so delicious. Before breakfast was served they had juice, coffee, tea, fresh muffins, amazing jam and cereal. Other stuff I can’t remember too. Then they served to each of us a plate of this quiche that was like over 3 inches high with a bowl of fruit and a scone that was just beautiful with candied sugar on top. Oh my mouth is watering as I’m writing this. They are well known for their waffles too. Gail sat at one end of the table and Michelle sat at the other and they shared their many stories about the area and kept the conversation going. It was delightful! Oh I so want to go back.

There was a property next door to theirs for sale and I said to my sister they should buy that and open a little tea room because they sure know how to cook!

We gathered up all our belongings after breakfast and headed out to Cheticamp.

Stay tuned for more exciting magical stories about our trip!

Congratulations Bobby!

September 26th, 2010 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Good Day everyone. How are you this cool sweet day.

Well he did it. Bobby ran his first marathon today with Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon in Toronto. It’s now officially off his bucket list.

Here’s before the race. There were masses of people. There was one picture that looked like a painting as I messed up but I really like the picture. They have pace bunnies you can run with so you keep your time. Here’s a picture of Bobby and some of his running buddies.

Let’s start at the beginning. Bobby was a big guy before. I think his biggest was 308 pounds. I’m far from judging just letting you know how far he has come to do this marathon.

Here’s a picture of him then. I don’t think he was at his biggest here. He was the same person but he wasn’t healthy as well he had headaches all the time. The transformation came in the form of one ignorant person (who may be called an Angel as he started the change in Bobby) who said that people in Canada are gross and fat and he said to Bobby look at you you can’t even get close to the counter with that gut on you. Bobby was horrified that this person said this to him and he mulled it over and over and over. Some point in the near future from this incident he started Weight Watchers. When my husband does something he does it all the way and he ended up losing over 100 pounds. He ended up quite sickly though and looked thin and I was nervous at how he looked a bit like a skeleton. He gained a bit back and started to feel more safe and healthy.

At that point Bobby had to do a job interview at work that involved physical exercises as well as running and it turned out even though he was quite thin he was out of shape. That lead him to The Running Room. This is where he found his love of running. I talked about it way back in my blog here. Geez that wasn’t too long ago. He surely has done well.

Who knew back many many years ago when “Red” gave him his native name “Bear Running” that the name meant more than he realized.

I’m totally proud of Bobby. It’s been a lot of work training for this marathon and he has been diligent with his training.

Here’s a video of his finishing. Bobby. He had this big smile on his face when he said “I tore a muscle in my leg” like it was a good thing.

He was so tired and walking like a duck which I can well appreciate after running all that way. I also have a video (which I can’t upload for some reason) of Bobby putting his 26.2 on the car. He has been waiting to put this sticker on for a long time. I’m sure the tattoo is coming shortly.

Woo Hoo Bobby. I’m so proud of you. You have come a long way. I guess in a way its a lesson on how one person who can hurt you so much can also inspire you to do great things.

Love you Tons my Guy thank you for being you. I just got to thinking what you are going to do next. My mind keeps going to an Ironman!

Divine Travels of the Ha Ha Sisterhood – Day One – Part One

Good Morning Everyone. Welcome to the Psychic Cottage Blog.

Now that I’m back to myself and settled I wanted to let you in on our trip!

My sister and I decided to call our adventure the Divine Travels of the Ha Ha Sisterhood because we didn’t stop laughing from the time we left home until we got home and even then it didn’t stop. We do have tons of fun together.

Our first little town was Pictou. It was a quaint little town. Lots of hills and the town main street walks along a beautiful ocean front. It was so cold that day. The people of the town said that it was so hot the week before because of Earl.

We went to Mrs. MacGregor’s Tea House for lunch. It was nice. My sister remembered it to be different but it was a lovely lunch and it was good to just stop for a moment after all the running around.

Check out the sidewalks. Aren’t they cute.

There wasn’t much action in Pictou but we found lots of ways to entertain ourselves. What is it about having a sign with a hole in it that makes people want to stick their heads in it. You will see lots of these pictures throughout my blogs on the trip. It’s such fun to look ridiculous.

And the fun never stopped! It was so chilly that day. Stay tuned for Part Two. How come I’m in all these pictures and not my sister. Hmmm.

Home Sweet Home!

Hello everyone! How are you?

My sister and I are home from our trip to Cape Breton. Here’s a picture in this sweet little restaurant called the Village Kitchen in Baddeck. Yummy food.

It was great fun and we had amazing sister time.

I had trouble getting through on the internet so I am a little behind on everything. I apologize for that.

Lots of good stuff for you coming in future blogs and tons of pictures! As soon as I’m caught up I will blog you.

I’ll have my computer so I can still do readings and get in touch with you all so no worries about that.

I’ve never been down East. I can’t wait to get there.

What a Feeling!

September 10th, 2010 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Morning Everyone. How are you this lovely morning?

I went to a sweat lodge yesterday as my husband and our good friend Rick hold them at Rick’s place and I can’t imagine anything that feels much better then going to a sweat.

Of course anything in a sweat stays in a sweat but I can tell you about the overall good feelings.

I think I like the tradition of it. Certain things have to be done a certain way. Certain things can only be done by women and certain things by men.

I felt very honoured as there was a broken rib on the lodge and I was the one given the task of mending it and sending my feminine energy into the lodge. Isn’t that cool? Sounds a bit hokey as I’m writing it but it truly was a good experience to do that.

I remember in a sweat many moons ago I was the only woman and I was doing the tasks of separating the cedar and the Elder and the men gathered around me and sung to me in thanks. I have to tell you I was very honoured and felt a little silly when that happened. It was an amazing experience.

If you ever get an opportunity to go to a sweatlodge make sure you go. Of course trust the person holding it. Bobby & Rick host it so I was in good hands.

There is always a feast after the lodge which is the best. Rick makes the best chicken soup ever. It’s just as healing as the sweat.

Thanks Rick, Bobby, Pat & John for making the lodge a success as well as everyone who participated. Thank you for being you.

Poker Lotto

September 09th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Morning Everyone. How are you this wonderful day? My Son bought me breakfast this morning which made me so happy. It’s a weird feeling to receive from your children in that kind of way.

Thank Mike. Love you tons.

So have you tried it yet? There is a new lottery game out called Poker Lotto.

It’s too much fun.

You pay your $2 which is part of the whole lottery experience but then you can win on the video screen an instant win! As well you get your lottery ticket for the numbers (or cards) drawn that night.

It’s extra fun for me because I’m trying to manifest a Royal Flush. How hard can it be right? You get $5,000! This morning I paid my $2,  I won a free ticket on the first ticket, then on the free ticket I won $20, then I won $2. Like that’s so cool eh?  This was all for the $2! I had so much fun with it. Ok there was a line up out the door while I was jumping up and down but they were excited too. It’s all very confusing while you are in it.

It’s like a mini cheap casino visit.

I’d take that over a coffee any day.

I remember when my sister and I went to Salem long time ago they had these little video things. She won lots of money on it.

I don’t have many bad addictions. I don’t smoke. I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs. I do love the excitement of the lottery though. We all need something to turn our crank I guess or float your boat.

Happy Winning friends.
