Beautiful Lavender Lady

August 29th, 2010 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

You all know her as Lavender Lady from my Newsletters. Have you wondered who the talented Lavender Lady is? Well she’s my sister! Diane.

On her birthday I found her a beautiful Lavender Hat. Check it out. It’s totally a queen hat.

Isn’t she adorable! I love my sister. She’s the best.

Check out her garden:

Can you imagine the discipline it takes for that garden! I can’t imagine doing it really.

Procrastination Be Gone

August 29th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Evening All. I hope this blog finds you well.

You all know me. When I get excited about something I’m jumping up and down for joy and I can’t wait to get started on a new adventure. Where I have my procrastination problem is when I’m really “not into something” like cleaning or clearing clutter, etc. Especially when the problem gets big or I have some rebellion issues connected to it then I find it impossible to do so I don’t even have the energy to start.

The other day I came across an old friend called  “subliminal cd’s”. I have always known the benefit of these CD’s but sometimes I go too big and instead of concentrating on one thing I start listening to 5 different CD’s at once and I get totally confused and dump the thing.

I repurchased (I have no idea where the old one went) the one on Procrastination. I really can’t stop. So far I have cleaned the kitchen, did all the work for my business that I have been procrastinating on (the administration part), started redorating this room in our house so that I have a room of my own (which I think is important), its’ hilarious. My husband said to me “what is your birthdate” I looked at him funny and he said well I just thought the alien who took you over might not know that. He’s such a card.

I think you have to be careful which cd’s you buy. I like Potentials Unlimited. They are the ones I’ve always used with success. I like the classical music Cd’s but I think they are a little extra. Gets me going. The violin music is so pretty.

OK gotta go build a deck (just kidding).

Geez I love what I do.

August 20th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good evening everyone. Welcome to the Psychic Cottage Blog.

I hope life is treating you kindly.

I did a psychic party today in beautiful Hastings. It’s so pretty there. I seem to be drawn up there for some reason.

The person who did the party said to me I’ll put you in the basement. I was hoping when she walked me down the steps it wouldn’t be cold. Well…she put me below the deck and I was looking out over the lake. It was just so beautiful and peaceful. I kind of just wanted to say can you give me a break and go down and sit on the two chairs down by the water for a minute or so. What  a different way of life. So peaceful and beautiful. I got home to the Big O and I thought I really like that kind of life. Some day I guess.

To top it off she makes the best buttertarts in the world and when I went up to have a bit of a break I was given a nice cup of tea and a warm buttertart. Oh ya.

Bobby made me (trust me I was whining and trying to get out of it) run when I got home because I’m missing running tomorrow and I’m up to 3 minutes instead of 2. It was really hard. I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time with it. I’m still plugging away though. I go really slow. I was laughing to myself because I was thinking of the old Carol Burnett show where Tim Conway played the old man. I was thinking that maybe he could beat me running. I was kind of visualizing a skit where he was running faster than me.

Here’s a youtube of the character I mean. The youngn’s won’t remember.

The Carol Burnett show was my favorite. I was watching some of the outtakes and laughing my head off here. Too cute.

By Golly it Worked!

August 17th, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good day everyone. How are you this wonderful hot day?

Don’t forget Mercury goes into Retrograde starting this week. Careful driving and watch out for the other guy.

What happens in Mercury Retrograde is that Mercury the planet of transportation and communication appears to be going backwards or standing still. It isn’t really but it still causes total chaos. A total breakdown of communication and you will notice that there will be accidents everywhere. Sometimes even large disastrous events around the world. It’s a crazy time. Computers go nuts and travel arrangements will be messed up. It is suggested that you do not sign any agreements during this time as it will come back to haunt you. Also things from your past will come back to you.

It is felt strong going in and going out. It’s not like you have to be freaked out or anything just be extra cautious and always do a prayer when getting in the car and surround it with light.

An example of Mercury in Retrograde at its best is when I ordered my pink laptop. I ordered it right in the middle of Mercury in Retrograde. I can’t believe I did it but I did. What happened on the day of delivery the box was found in a puddle at the delivery company and they had to remake the computer. I was somewhat relieved that I was getting another computer that was made out of Mercury in Retrograde. It is the best computer. I love it. Touch wood!

If you want further information go to www.astrologyzone.com as Susan Miller gives you lots of information.

As you know I have taken up running. It’s so hard for me. We are only up to two minutes running and one minute walking and I find I can’t breathe. I have out my ventilators and I’m doing what they say but its very hard for me.

I’m not a quitter but the idea of 3 minutes was sending me over the edge.

I asked for an answer and I got an email from my favourite Subliminal Tape place Potential Unlimited. So I ordered an MP3 for running. I put it on and went for my run. You know it worked. I even went 3 minutes and I didn’t even realize my watch beeped! I’m totally hyped. Woo hoo!

I got the one with the classical music as the wave thing kind of gets to me after a while.

I got the cutest little MP3 player from radio shack (The Source) that is just the earphones nothing else. It’s pink!

I just kept playing the one without talking the whole time! I love it.

Manifesting Like Blue

August 11th, 2010 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Good Morning Dear Friends.

I hear that its going to be a scorcher on the weekend. Yikes.

I’m thinking this morning that I have a lot to learn about manifesting from our dog, Blue.

Sure she uses destructive means but she does get what she wants which is usually around food explaining her waddle.

Once in a while Bobby buys her chicken wieners as a treat and when she knows they are in the fridge and only when we are in the kitchen she sits there by the fridge hour after hour until he gives her one. She doesn’t do it to me because she knows I won’t touch the things. They gross me out.  If she’s not doing that she is standing beside  (and sometimes scratches if we are not paying attention) the big garbage pail full of food and chews. If I’m on the phone she doesn’t stop barking so that I will get off the phone and give her something to make her be quiet.

Border Collies are always trying to outsmart you and usually succeed. She can be quite the b*tch pardon the pun.

Before the radio show I get out a bunch of chews and lock them in the front of the house and if they start barking I throw them some.

Ahh isn’t having a dog so wonderful. Hee Hee.

I’m thinking if I spend as much time on my manifesting as she does on hers that I might be receiving all of it.

Our other dog Bandit is completely different. Sure he loves to eat but his main goal in life is to follow Bobby and when Bobby isn’t home he waits for him.

Bandit did help us come up with the saying of “cross eyed good” though because when he is eating something he loves he looks at you and as he is licking it he crosses his eyes until he’s finished. It’s hilarious. When I get my camcorder which is on my manifesting list I will show you what it looks like.

P.S. I changed the title as Bobby brought it up to me it might not be appropriate. I wasn’t thinking on that one. I had Manifesting Doggy Style, oops. I’m not always the brightest bulb in the tanning bed.

Pet Styling By Becki & One, Two, Three, Four…..

August 03rd, 2010 | Category: Exciting News,Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Good Morning Everyone.

Bobby took me out this morning on my run so I didn’t look like a jerk in front of my Running Room peeps. He showed me what to do. Bobby’s Garmin was going crazy beep beep “speed up” which kind of means drop the slow poke.

I have to tell you that the counting thing really worked. It was like I could get to the end just by knowing that I only had to count a little more. I liked it. Then when Bobby was trying to get me to talk as I understand that is what you are supposed to do the timing went so quick as I missed half the numbers. I’m going to write a book about my new found way of running. Ha Ha. Too funny.

He dropped me off at home and then he went a “small” 6K. Hello?

If you received our newsletter (if you didn’t make sure you sign up on this blog and I’ll send you it) you know that my niece’s Grand Opening is today for her shop in Peterborough.

We are all so excited about this and very very proud.

Pet Styling By Becki.

Her phone number ends in DOGS. Like how cool is that?

So if you live in the Peterborough area and require some Grooming for your pets check out her shop.  The front of it is so beautiful. I couldn’t copy it from my email but I will show you in another blog.

It’s Only 144 Running Steps

August 02nd, 2010 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone. What’s Cookin?

I’m psyching myself out to go on my run at Running Room and I’m trying to figure out how I can get through the second minute without feeling like I’m croakin’.

They keep saying it will get easier but I’m thinking I’m developing a psychological block around my second minute. I don’t want to need a shrink when we go to two minutes.

What I did is I ran a minute and counted the running steps it took. It was 144. Now they might have been wienier (not a word from what I can see but it sounds cool) steps because I was in the house running front to back (with the dogs barking at me) when I did it but it has to be close right? (Yes Bobby is at work, ha ha)

That way I’m going to know exactly when the second minute will end. An anal solution but it might just work!

Quote for you from the Movie “Run Fat Boy Run”.

Gordon: “Go on then, run!”
Dennis: “Isn’t there some kind of like… special technique?”
Gordon: “Well… yeah… you put one leg in front of the other over and over again really really fast.”
