Sharon Does Salsa

October 29th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

How are you these glorious night? It’s getting near Halloween. The veils are very thin around now. Pay attention to any messages you may get. Keep your antenna up.

So I decided in my wisdom to go to a Salsa Fitness class. If you are my family yes you have the right blog.

(God bless Dr. Angelface.)

It was one hour or more of intense dancing. I wondered why they all looked at me when I said I had no water with me. It was very intense.

I’m not sure what happened but usually I’m kind of with it when it comes to music and dancing but I just didn’t seem to be in the groove with this music? I felt so stiff and out of it.

It was so much fun. I really didn’t know anyone so it was a bit weird but I have to tell you my lower back and left knee are just screaming here.

The teacher is so beautiful. When she smiles she lights up the room. Very gorgeous woman for sure. Her name is Dallany. Boy can she move. You know she’s doing what she loves.

Here’s her site if you are interested. Salsa Fit. If you come don’t laugh at me.

Once I took a Tai Chi class with Bobby and my mother in law. They would laugh because I really couldn’t figure out the moves. Every time they looked at me I had my finger up to my mouth in this OMG what do I do next stance. Even today if anyone says Tai Chi around me both of them put their finger on their mouth and laugh.

So that’s it just sharing my adventures. I’m off to find some movies in which they dance so I can practice my moves for next week.

Always Trust Your Gut

October 27th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon,whining

Hi Everyone. How are you doing tonight? Feeling that weird energy. I think Saturn is changing signs. That can’t be easy I’m thinking.

Boo Hoo! I’m so ashamed. I didn’t trust my gut and I could have had over $4,000.

I was getting the number 888 all day today and I thought it was like a lucky sign like “Oh yes look at me I’m going to get abundance in my life.” I can hear my guides now “You pious simpleton what were you thinking?” HA HA.

The pick three was 888. I was thinking of it too I was going to play $8 worth. I cheaped out on myself and now I don’t have my $4,000.

I could have used it SOOO bad too. I feel like a stupid dork.

Oh well on the bright side if it happened once it can happen again hopefully in this century.

God is good.

Reminds me of that story about the man and the boat.

“This man heard a radio report that the river was going to rush up and flood the town. And that all the residents should evacuate their homes. But the man said, ‘I’m religious. I pray. God loves me. God will save me.’ The waters rose up. A guy in a row boat came along and he shouted, ‘Hey, hey you! You in there. The town is flooding. Let me take you to safety.’ But the man shouted back, ‘I’m religious. I pray. God loves me. God will save me.’ A helicopter was hovering overhead. And a guy with a megaphone shouted, ‘Hey you, you down there. The town is flooding. Let me drop this ladder and I’ll take you to safety.’ But the man shouted back that he was religious, that he prayed, that God loved him and that God will take him to safety. Well… the man drowned. And standing at the gates of St. Peter, he demanded an audience with God. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘I’m a religious man, I pray. I thought you loved me. Why did this happen?’ God said, ‘I sent you a radio report, a helicopter, and a guy in a rowboat. What the hell are you doing here?”

I ask over and over for abundance and then when the Universe sticks it right under my nose I ignore it. What was I thinking.

My son said Mom don’t cry over spilled milk. This irked me even more because he’s right.

Sharon Meets Another Bully

October 21st, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello dear friends.

How are you this wonderful day?

I had a bit of a “thing”(I spoke up for another) today with a bully. It wasn’t really my fight but I’m not one to sit by and let people be mean to people. I know from experience and life that it’s their stuff that brings them together but why does the Universe make me sit there and listen. They know what I’m like.

When I told my son he said “Mom you are over 50 years old are you ever going to stop getting into trouble.” He thought it was an issue that was “their Karma to work out” not mine. I’m not sure I agree on this one. If we all stand by and watch where does that put us?

Bullies are a weird breed aren’t they? They push everyone around through their ignorance. They do something really great so they are untouchable and get the higher ups to overlook their odd behavior.

I know it can’t always be sunbeams and roses but come on in the big scheme of things is this stuff really that important.

Ok, I feel better now. Cleared the air.

Only good comes to me now.

I always think of the movie Joe Dirt. In it he says “Is this where you want to be when Jesus comes picking on ole Joe Dirt.” It’s funny in the movie but I often think of this line. If we stopped and said at that moment if we had to do a “karmic check” would we be satisfied with it. Make your heart lighter than the Shu feather of truth and justice.

Life is Good

October 20th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Blog Friends. How are you this wonderful 24 hours that the Universe provided for us to do with what we want.

So last weekend was the new opening of the relocated Psychic Cottage.

There are so many people that helped me. Everyone was incredible.

Of course my wonderful husband for painting the door yellow.

Pulling together something like that isn’t my specialty. I get stuck up with well that picture would look lovely there, no there, no there, no there. Fifteen hours later and then I realize that I’m a minute before opening.

My sister and brother came up to help. My brother was a Godsend because I was trying to put together this little fireplace thing I bought and I kept putting in the screws wrong. I didn’t want to break it because sometimes I do that I get flustered and force something and then its useless.

So my brother put it together and it looks so cute and warmed us up when we needed it. Plus it looked adorable. Added the ambiance that I was looking for. One older man said “It’s cozy in here”. That’s what I was going for.

My sister walked in a l/2 hour before I was to open and went “OMG Sharon” we are never going to get this ready. She is used to me. There have been many times when she has come over to help me move the day of the move and I’m like sure I’m ready. When she gets there I realize that I haven’t packed a thing. We all have our gifts organizing isn’t one of mine.

After she walked in our house and said “Sharon I think you belong on one of those shows.” She is adorable my sister. You have too much stuff!

So anyway. I’m doing my thing with the readings and in walks a wonderful new friend of mine with this beautiful vase filled to the brim with flowers and a card to celebrate the opening of the new Psychic Cottage. What a beautiful friend. it almost took up the whole room it was so big. I felt so blessed at that moment. I am so grateful to do the job I do because I get to meet so many inspiring people. Thank you so much Paulina. I will remember that moment forever.

Jenny and Marla from City Cottage were so great. I think she has to get busy making more furniture because by the end of Applefest her place was empty! I can see why though as her furniture is so beautiful. She also made this yummy cider which kept us and customers warm throughout the day. Thank you!

Marie was there from Under the Toadstool. She has all these treasures in her little store. It’s fun to see them because they are all so familiar from long time ago. I could hear people going through her store so excited at finding something from their past. Marie and a friend brought in these wonderful treats. It was so tempting to eat but thank goodness I’ve gone for my Hypnotherapy from Dr. Angelface (his name is changed to protect the waiting list) otherwise I would have wolfed down a bunch of them.

So that’s it. The next one on December 4th will be much more organized. I promise.

Blessings to my family, friends, clients and everyone on my path. May love follow you everywhere.

There is just so much happening its so crazy. Between readings and parties for the sterling silver jewellery I’m selling life is really picking up. I can’t say the name of the jewellery but if you are interested make sure you drop by on Saturday to see a catalogue and see a few pieces I’ll have there.

It’s totally beautiful. You will love it.

So that’s about it. We are starting readings right at 10am so if you want a $10 reading (15 minutes) make sure you drop by. Remember the Applefest is on.

Make sure you see City Cottage’s store. Her furniture is so beautiful. Also, Marie’s Treasures is also there. So many pretty things you can’t find anywhere.

Piloga or Motrin? I’ll let you know in the Morning.

October 14th, 2009 | Category: memories,Musings by Sharon

Good Evening my Wonderful Friends. How are you all out there in Blog Land?

I’ve had the worst backache these last few weeks. It’s either stress or a backache. I really don’t know. I’ve had this pain before though. My Friend Kaleigh says I had it when I first got my car Daisy. Something about the structure of the seat and the standard movement.

It’s good to have friends’ with good memories about my ailments.

I have been taking Roboxocet but it makes me high as a kite. I’m not that good with drugs. I have weird reactions.

Honest there’s a reason for me telling you this story I’m getting to it.

Tonight was my special night where I start Piloga. Piloga is Yoga and Pilates. My gracious client and her husband allowed me to take his spot as he didn’t like it. I am very grateful to them for this. Thank you friends.

I really thought I would get there and never get up from the backpain. There were days these last few weeks where my legs were out there and my body was back because I didn’t want to feel the pain of lining them up.

So we were using these fitballs and stretch bands and lying on these matts and slowly my back started to feel much better. Then I thought oh no I took some Motrin before going I hope I am not making it worse but I can’t feel anything?

So I’ll let you know tomorrow if I can walk in the morning.

Yoga has changed so much. The last time I went to yoga is was in a HUGE gym of a school and there were so many women all over the place.

I have to tell you this one story and my sister-in-law is going to string me up for telling you.

Once my sister, sister-in-law and I took a yoga course. We were on our matts and in this weird position where your legs are up and your bum is up, etc. So doesn’t my sister-in-law let out a little toot at one of those quiet moments.  Well I lost it. Totally busted a gut. I started laughing so hard. She played it cool which was a good move because everyone thought it was me. I laughed and laughed and laughed. I still laugh when I think about it. Isn’t that hilarious?

So that’s it. Stayed tuned for the outcome.

Joseph Murphy Need I say More

October 14th, 2009 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone. How are you this glorious day. It’s a bit chilly but nice.

I’m so excited today as I’m getting ready to go into the new location of The Psychic Cottage. I’m itching to paint my door yellow. Have you noticed I have a thing for yellow doors? It’s just one of those odd quirks of mine.

Every day I get a quote for Joseph Murphy. What a powerful man. The world is such a better place for him to have lived in it.

This morning’s quote was profound and I wanted to share with you.

“Your desire is your prayer. Picture the fulfillment of your desire now and feel its reality, and you will experience the joy of the answered prayer.” Dr. Joseph Murphy

How so very cool is that one. Simple and true.

That’s it really I just wanted to share.

I’ll keep you posted on the new location. Remember  to celebrate the new location this Saturday (Oct. 17, 2009)  is mini reading day. $10 for 15 minutes.  It’s the same day as the Applefest in Bowmanville so keep that in mind. The main streets will be closed. I don’t think it will affect George Street though.

The new location is at 5 George Street, Bowmanville. “The yellow door left of  City Cottage.” Too cute!

Until we meet again, Sharon

Happy Birthday to Two of my Favourite People

October 12th, 2009 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving. I’m up a pound so I know mine was good.

Today is the birthday of two of my favorite people.

My son Peter turns 28 today. I can’t believe it was 28 years ago that he came into this world. I’ll never forget how cute he was (and still is) as a little boy. He had these big blond curls and big blue eyes. My son is a lovely soul. He’s gentle and kind. He loves nice things. My sister called him Prince Adam for years (well still does) because he always liked the best of things even as a young child. He has a unique look about him. I wonder at times where he came from in past lives. My sister-in-law always says when she sees him she thinks he should be a model because of the way he looks. He is an amazing brother to my other son and takes being a friend seriously. He is a great son and I love him lots. Happy Birthday Peter. May this year be the best one yet for you. My lips to God’s Ears. Love you Tons.

It’s interesting that one of my closest friends shares this day as her birthday. Kaleigh is a wonderful friend and she also is a kind and a lovely soul. She never ceases to amaze me with her ability to give to others. I’m really proud of her as she has gone back to school and is doing really well. I met her through another friend just before Kaleigh’s father passed away. Funny how the universe works. We clicked right away and have been close friends ever since. Kaleigh makes my life interesting and she always pushes me to have a little fun whether it be for a trip to the US or just going out to Swiss Chalet. I forget sometimes to have fun as I’m always working but she helps in that department. Happy Birthday Kaleigh! May this year bring you the abundance and happiness you so richly deserve my Friend. Love you Tons!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Eat lots of turkey and enjoy your family and friends. What a wonderful time of year isn’t it.

She’s so cute my sister. I think she’s getting the itch for country living. Her poem looks a bit like a witches hat doesn’t it?
