Thoughts of Peace from my Sister Diane

Hello Dear Friends. How are you? Happy Thanksgiving to all of you on this wonderful day God provided for us. I’m so happy and grateful you are in my life.

I got a call from my lovely sister and she said “I wrote a poem called Peace” and I want to read it to you. It sure does merit a blog so introducing to you my sister’s poem “Peace”:

PEACE

WILD FLOWERS
JUMPING FISH
CLEAR BLUE SKY
FRESH CUT HAY
CLEAN FRESH AIR
SMELL OF SPRING
HOWL OF A WOLF
A SHOOTING STAR
ROOKERY OF HERONS
BIRDS AT THE FEEDER
FIDDLEHEADS POPPING
TURKEYS RUNNING FREE
WALKING IN THE WOODS
BRILLANT LEAVES OF FALL
HUMMINGBIRDS HUMMING
MOURNING DOVES COOING
WIND THROUGH THE PINES
SNOWY CLEAN WHITE PATH
OWL HOOTING IN THE TREE
EMBERS BURNING IN THE PIT
BUTTERFLY FLUTTERING PAST
RED EYED LOON CALLING OUT
OPSREYS SOARING OVERHEAD
CREAMSICLE COLOUR SUNSET
STATELY BULLRUSH STANDING
MOOSE ON WAY DOWNSTREAM
FULL MOON REFLECTED IN WATER
SUN RISING UP ABOVE THE TREES
DEWY LAWN WITH NO FOOTPRINTS
FALLING SNOW AND NO WHERE TO GO
RHYTHM OF WILD GRASS IN THE WIND
BROWN EYED BUCK CHECKING YOU OUT
STARS LIKE DIAMONDS ON THE WATER
FLOCK OF GEESE WHO FLY RIGHT ON BY
FALLING FEATHER FOR A DREAMCATCHER
OTTER FROLICKING IN THE RIVER AT DUSK

MOTHER NATURE PROVIDES FOR THOSE WHO APPRECIATE

She’s so cute my sister. I think she’s getting the itch for country living. Her poem looks a bit like a witches hat doesn’t it?

Quote for you:

“The city reveals the moral ends of being, and sets the awful problem of life. The country soothes us, refreshes us, lifts us up with religious suggestion.” Edwin Hubbell Chapin
