Happy Blog Anniversary to Cynful Creations

September 20th, 2009 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Hello Everyone.

How are you this delicious day? The sun is magnificent.

I mentioned my dear friend Cynthia in my blog yesterday and today I wanted to wish her a Happy Blog Anniversary. It’s been one year since she started her blog Cynful Creations.

The fun part about this is that she has never ever ever missed one day. Come rain or shine she was there for us all.

Her first blog says “Hello my Name is Cynthia and I’m a Beadaholic.” How so very clever and funny she is.

Cynthia is a gifted jewellery maker specializing in beads. She found what she loves more than anything. Cynthia is always hopping off to France or some other exotic place for courses and then tells us all about it in her Blog.

Make sure you have a visit.

Congratulations Cynthia on living life to its fullest. You are an inspiration to so many people.

Blessings to you my dear Friend.

A Window Opened.

September 18th, 2009 | Category: Exciting News,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. I am truly a happy person today.

It’s funny in life when a door closes and if you just lay low something wonderful happens.

I was guided that it was time to leave my little store in Bowmanville. I gave notice as guided and just waited. I thought ok maybe I’m not meant to do in person readings at the moment.

I can go with the flow like the best of them.

Well just when I was getting used to the idea of letting go of my shop (and Bobby was freaked out about where we were going to put all my stuff from the shop) something wonderful happened. My lovely friend Jenny from City Cottage said I could rent the back of her shop over at 5 George Street in Bowmanville. I’ll keep you posted of the opening date.

This is a dream come true and actually kind of looks like what The Psychic Cottage looks like to me.

It’s an old beautiful home and I will have my own entrance and the two of us get along splendidly.

We are going to have such fun and success together.

Radio Star!

September 18th, 2009 | Category: Giving Away a Dollar a Day,Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone.

How are you this glorious day? The energy is shifting I can feel it. Woo hoo!

I’m not sure if you know but I do work for Global Psychics as well as my own site.

I was on the radio the other night (internet radio) with them and I thought maybe you wanted to listen to the program. It’s about abundance which is perfect for this time.

Here’s the link.

Just go to “Ask a Psychic with Danielle” and I was on September 19, 2009.

(I was on before talking about relationships February 4, 2009 and Bobby and I were on together talking about symbols on March 5, 2008. Check them out too. What fun!)

The Coolest Gadget for Hard Boiled Eggs

September 13th, 2009 | Category: Exciting News,Musings by Sharon

Hello my Friends. I’m sorry I haven’t written.

How are you all doing? Remember its Mercury in Retrograde so play it safe.

I had to tell you about my new little gadget called “jo!e Boiley”. It’s a Microwave egg boiler.

I love hard boiled eggs in the morning but I don’t have as much patience as most so to sit there while the water boils, then time it, then wash all the pots its just way too much work. The other day Bobby and I were out and went into Reid’s for something and we noticed that they had all the Jo!e egg stuff. We both noticed the one for hard boiled eggs in the microwave. It was only a few dollars and we did have this look like well its only the price of a good coffee and if it doesn’t work we’ll scrap it.

Plus it is just adorable. It’s like a little egg with feet.

The first try was a disaster. I didn’t leave it in long enough as I got a little nervous. The second time was perfect and since then it is great. I now can make a Boiled egg in the microwave while I’m running around getting dressed and its ready in a few minutes. Now how cool is that?

The shell seems to come off easy too compared to the water method. Keep in mind though the little thing gets very very hot. I used oven mitts and a bowl and shoved it in the sink and put cold water on it.

Life is just too fun sometimes.

A Novel Idea

September 06th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello one and all. How are you this wonderful long weekend? The weather is holding its own so that’s great news.

Today was my brother-in-law’s birthday so Bobby and I went out to lunch with my sister and brother-in-law and before that we went to High Park and walked around. It was a fun day.

Happy Birthday Joe!

Yesterday Bobby and my brother made salsa and pickled eggs. I kind of stayed out of their way. They were very proud of what they made which was nice. The salsa is so good. I’m not into pickled eggs though. They kind of gross me out for some reason.

My brother’s son was rushed to the hospital with appendicitis so sending lots of prayers and blessings his way.

Today on the way home Bobby needed ice cream and as I’m not really into eating anything too extreme these days (see hypnotherapy) I took a spoonful and gave the rest to him while I read this little paper called “Surfacing” that was in the ice cream store.

I have to tell you about this wonderful idea for a wrting workshop that I found in the paper that you do over a full year and in the end you have written your book.

What a cool idea eh? A full year with help along the way. Meeting new friends. I don’t know about you but I’ve had so many books  and ideas for books  that I keep tossing aside that this would keep me on the straight and narrow. It starts in January too so it can go on your list of accomplishments.

Here’s the website for you. it’s called “A Novel Approach“.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

September 01st, 2009 | Category: Exciting News,Musings by Sharon

Hi Everyone. How are you this unbelievable day my Friends?

I wanted to tell you that my favourite store City Cottage in Bowmanville is moving to 5 George Street, Bowmanville, Ontario.

They are moving to the cutest little store. It so suits them. It is opening tomorrow September 2nd.

Bobby and I were out on his motorcycle (yes its fixed) and I asked him to drive by there. She let us in. OMG its so adorable. She is going to do so well.

I asked her if she was excited as I was jumping up and down and Bobby said I think you are more excited than her! I am totally excited. I’m not sure if I am more excited than her but I’m excited.  I love it when someone does what they love and it shines through.

Make sure you go visit her ok.

Blessings City Cottage for a successful opening. Yippy!

Living the Dream

August 25th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello dear blog Friends. How are you this glorious day that the Universe  allowed us to share in.

I just got back from my annual three day reprieve with my dear pal Kal. We went to Port Huron and had such fun. It’s always great to get away even when spending  three days acting crazy running here and there and everywhere. It was totally exhausting but that’s ok. It was still very refreshing to have a change of scenery.

As you know I am going to a hypnotherapist for weight loss and I have to tell you whatever he did is certainly working. (It’s actually nothing short of a miracle the way it works. If you knew me at all you would say “yep” she’s right.)  Usually we spend three days stuffing ourselves at every restaurant that we don’t have in Canada. Shop, Eat, Shop, Eat, Sleep a bit, Shop, Eat. This time I’m thinking because of the hypnotherapy and because of my friend being on Weight Watchers  it was a completely different trip.

The first day we almost forgot to eat altogether and ran in for something at the last minute. (Yum Cracker Barrel. Their meatloaf is really good.) The next day we really did try to do our piggy fest and we went to Olive Garden for dinner. We ordered our usual which is a little bit of all the three pastas  but when it came we were stuffed from the salad and brought most of it back to the hotel for the fridge. We sure learned our lesson. From then on in it was ordering one meal and splitting it. More time to shop.

I do not want to go on and on about the hypnotherapy but I really have changed when it comes to food. Firstly I cannot and I mean cannot eat anything (including “one” lone candy) without putting it in my little book. I fill out all the calories I eat. It’s disturbingly odd behavior for me yet strangely empowering. We had a yogurt at the hotel for breakfast and I left my purse in the room and I couldn’t finish it until I went and got a pen and a piece of paper to write the calories  (again if you knew me you  again would say “Whoa now that’s downright peculiar are you sure we are talking about Sharon?”).

So I thought if I’m writing in a little book anyway why not write my affirmations right? So I set up my little book I carry everywhere with me (and I mean everywhere I’m naked without it) like this:

Date

A little about how I’m feeling today

Then I list my calories for the day

Then I write two affirmations I love (I’m not sure where they came from sorry): “Only good comes to me now.” And “I recognize my good when it comes.”

Serendipity Log (more on this later).

Things I’m Grateful for.

To do List – One thing must come off a day.

Let me explain a little more:

Serendipity List  – Now as you know from my blog where I talked about Victoria Moran’s book Living a Charmed Life it is important to have a Serendipity List. Victoria says to acknowledge the serendipity in your life invites much more and grows and grows. This is totally true as I can attest to below.

To Do List – In my to do list I take a couple of really important things from my to do list and transfer them over. One thing has to come off before the day is out. (Again miracle for me).

On our trip we had so much fun completing our Serendipity List. Here’s a list from our trip of all the Serendipitous events. Notice how they escalated.

(upgraded hotel for free, found exact plant holder I was looking for $1.99, found some amazing deals on clothes, found amazing pants and this little pattern coat for $4.00; Kal (who is in the fashion industry and just happens to be doing her bathroom) found the perfect bathroom set all about couture (didn’t buy then and went back next day and they were 20% off), Kmart had a blue dot special of 30% off already discounted clothing, hello, I got the best skirt that looked like a Monet painting  that I didn’t buy (even though it was only $7.00) and I wanted it so bad and I went back the next day and got it and I found a matching scarf for only $1.25 (oh ya), we got a parking spot right up front at the busiest rest stop on the way home, found a matching notebook for my binder…..)

Now this list went on and on and I won’t bore you but see how it grows when you start. It’s just so exciting.

Now the best thing that happened on our trip was looking over when we were parked at a light and there was a bright pink (OMG OMG wait….) Hummer and a lady was driving it. I was totally flipped out and was saying to Kal check it out check (I sound a bit like Hercules sidekick Newt) it out and then it pulled away and you won’t believe what was written across the back. “Living the Dream”. Is that not just the coolest thing you have ever heard? Mary Kay? I don’t know but I want one.

I was going to look up pink and hummer on the internet but I’m writing this one on my lunch at work and let’s just say if something else comes up it would cost me my job.

So that’s my trip for you. Such fun life is isn’t it? It’s always the small things that mean the most.

Quote for you:

“You meet a friend – your face brightens. You have struck gold.” Kassia

Be well my Friends and thanks Kaleigh and all my Family, Friends and Clients for being my Gold.

Until we meet again, Sharon
