Hello Everyone. We are back to the cold. I guess I spoke too soon.
Today at work I heard the whisper. “Kim Salad” “Kim Salad”. Oh goody I thought I’ll have to get me some.
Kim is a lovely lady at work. I’m not sure what the office would do without her. She’s is there early morning and works so many hours. She is always the one who empties the dishwasher and organizes things. She always has a smile on her face.
The one exciting thing that Kim does is every so often she makes a Kim Salad.
She has this huge bucket thing that you would probably use for washing dishes that she got for salad and she goes to the supermarket and buys everything she can get her hands on and she makes this huge mother of a salad. You will find things in this salad that you would never think about. It’s always different each time too which is so much fun.
Today’s salad had spinach, cheese, these hard little things that were delicious, lettuce. Oh my goodness she puts everything in there.
She always buys fresh salad dressing and never one kind.
The fun part is she puts it all in this huge bucket and then whoever wants some has it.The best part is it makes so many people happy. It’s not the salad (let’s get real here?) its that it is made with love.
She is such a nice soul to share with everyone. It’s great fun and I think that’s what makes it so extra special.
Thanks Kim for being you.

No commentsI’m so Proud.
Hi Everyone.
What’s new in your World? I hope this blog finds you having fun.
I have to tell you I am so proud of my husband.
As you remember from my blog of some time ago my husband joined The Running Room.
Everything he does he does with gusto. I do love this about him.
He started out on his own with his bright green shirt running his short little run but now he is running like 18 kilometres or more. He is also training for a run called Around the Bay which is I think 30 kilometres.
How so very cool is that?
Running sounds very spiritual however there isn’t enough noni juice in the universe to get me to run 18 kilometres on a Sunday afternoon for fun. No way.
To all you runners out there including our good friends Ralph and Rod.. “Way to Go”. Run Safe!

No commentsMy Lavender Sister
Welcome to the TPC Blog. I’m so glad you could come visit.
I am very grateful to have many blessings in my life and I wanted to share with you one of the gifts that God gave me in this lifetime and that is the gift of my Sister.
My Sister, you know her on this blog as Lavender Lady, is one of those generous wonderful people that walks our Earth.
I can’t imagine my life without her as she graces me with her sisterly existence.
Lavender Lady is the keeper of the pictures for our family so she is always sending funny pictures to me. She got that job because she is extremely organized. I am forever calling her saying can you send that picture when this or that happened. She is also the families’ creator of poems.
Check out this picture she just sent of us. Not sure where we were headed but we were happening.
The funny part is my sister probably looks younger today and she’s 60. Always a knock out that one.
Check out the land in the background. You aren’t going to believe where that land is. It’s where the Jane & Finch mall is located now. Times sure change. I grew up there but it was all land back then.
Lavender Sister always had the coolest cars growing up. Austin Minis, TR4’s and I remember she had a carmengia.
She would drive us everywhere. I remember once we had a bunch of us in the Austin Mini and for some reason I remember we looked up and there was a fire engine coming right for us with its siren going. I guess the music was too loud. We survived though.
My sister loves Lavender. Her dream is to have a little store that only sells Lavender. She has a name for it but I won’t share with you as I don’t want it to get grabbed up. She said if she is ever sick and only has a little time left she wants her husband to paint all the walls lavender, have tons of lavender all around her and everyone to come visit. Not that she’s going anywhere as the world isn’t a world without her in it.
Weird part is my Grandmother used to be the Lavender Lady at the Exhibition just inside the horse building. Family thing I guess this Lavender.
So I guess today I just wanted to share my sister with you. Her picture allowed me to remember how so very lucky I am to have my Lavender Sister in my life.

2 commentsI Saw a Spirit
Hi Everyone.
How are you this amazing night?
I was speaking to a lovely friend of mine Karin and she had the funniest story to tell.
She said that she was taking down all her Christmas decorations one night this last week and looked outside and saw this white energy moving in the air. She was so excited that she saw a spirit and couldn’t wait to call me in the morning to tell me about it.
When she woke up in the morning she looked outside and realized that the person across the road had used a white plastic bag to cover their Christmas Tree when they threw it out. This is what she saw blowing in the wind the night before (or was it?).
She said she laughed and laughed. She was still giggling when she was telling me her story.
Some people are just so darn adorable sometimes.
Love you tons my Friend.

No commentsYippy its Almost a New Year!
Hello Everyone.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you are now looking forward to the new year ahead.
I love new years. OO la la. This is a whole new decade too which makes it even more delicious.
In the next few blogs I’m going to let you in on the new year rituals I do every year and I’m hoping you enjoy them as well as share the ones you do with us in the comments.
I already told you last year about the box that we do. You can read that blog here.
This year I’ll tell you about another one that my sister-in-law Kimmi told me about and this is the importance of New Years’ Day. She said only do things that you want to happen throughout the year on New Years Day. She always has her house spotless (for me this would be a miracle, ha ha), her bills paid, and she makes sure she never works on this day. She said make New Years’ Day the perfect day that if you had 365 of these days life would be perfect. Makes sense doesn’t it?
This year we are bringing in the new year with a Sweat Lodge. Ahhh one of my favorite things. It’s like being reborn. This year its a full moon and not only that its a Blue Moon. Oh ya.
A blue moon if you don’t know is when there are two full months in a month. Hence the saying once in a blue moon.
I can feel the popping of energy already!
My husband Bobby is the Elder along with our good friend Rick so I know we are safe which is reassuring after the terrible event in the US which had greed written all over it.
What are your rituals for the new year? Feel free to comment and send yours.
For some it’s also a time of getting fit and respecting our body as we only get one in this lifetime. This is something I learned this year. it was a lesson I needed to learn.
Thanks to Dr. Angelface I found out where I was eating incorrectly and finally after 51 years of abusing my body with excess food I learned the importance of eating well. I feel great too.
Dr. Angelface says the key to losing weight is writing down everything that goes in your mouth. He said its too easy to forget about things and increase your calorie intake.
I was practicing with journals and different ways of doing this and then my good friend Shenaz gave me a really great tool to use online that I want to share with you. It’s called Fitday. It’s free and you can record everything you put in your mouth. There are tons of other things on there too like an exercise journal and a list of different foods so you don’t have to keep putting in over and over. It’s the coolest tool I have ever seen. Good luck with it.
Also, I’m not sure if you know this about The Psychic Cottage but every year I offer to provide your personal year in numerology for free for the new year! Just write to me at info@psychiccottage.com and I will give it to you. I will need your Month and Day of birth when you write.

No commentsLook Who is Laughing Now
Hello dear Friends. I hope this blog finds you well and busy in the holiday season.
Have you heard the new CD from Susan Boyle? It is so amazingly good. I wasn’t sure what it would be like but it is such a collection of great songs and she just really sings each one perfectly and they are all so different.
I have two friends I get together with every few months and we got together this last weekend and I didn’t know what to bring for a gift so I thought what better gift that this CD. I of course had to buy myself one too and I just loved it. They loved it too.
My lovely friend said something and it made sense she said “her voice is so pure”. That’s what it is. Susan Boyle is totally blessed with that voice of hers that’s for sure.
Some of the songs just send shivers up my spine. In a good way. To top it off “Wild Horses” is one of my favorite songs so talk about an added bonus.
Did you know that her CD was the most preordered CD in history on Amazon.com? Like how cool is that.
I kept thinking of that lady that laughed at her when she did her first song and I thought “Look Whose Laughing Now”.
Good Luck and God Bless you Susan Boyle.
Make sure you pop into The Psychic Cottage Radio Show on Wednesday’s at 9pm EST. I was having a lot of difficulty the last program. Somehow my computer knocked me off from the producer. If you wondering what happened. I’m sure eventually I’ll figure it out. Don’t label me the “nutty” psychic yet.

Hi Everyone.
Welcome to the TPC Blog.
Bobby and I went to see Blindside tonight. It was amazing. I totally loved it. I love Sandra Bullock in anything anyway but this movie was really great. What a story. I was in awe!
Also exciting news, I found out that a friend of mine Debbie is starting a new blog about cooking.
Debbie is the best cook. We went there once and she made the most amazing cauliflower soup in like 20 minutes. I remember thinking oh no she hasn’t even started yet and I’m so hungry and she started cutting up the cauliflower and poof it was ready. It was SO good too. Bobby and I still talk about it.
In this blog she is going to be sharing her recipes with everyone. If you love to cook make sure you check it out.
She put on her home made cranberry sauce. If its anything like this jam she made us once you are totally in for a treat. I think Bobby and I ate the jam over two days. Yum. Whenever we buy jam we are always like “we wish we had some more of Debbie’s Jam”.
Good luck with your new adventure Debbie. I know you will do amazing.

2 commentsLittle Trip Down Memory Lane
Welcome dear friends. How are you this frosty evening.
It sure got cold quick. Not sure I like that.
I was thinking today about when I was younger and how my sister-in-law Darlene and I used to every year go Christmas shopping and we would always go to Swiss Chalet for lunch.
It was a tradition of ours. The funny part is that every year Darlene would get the worst headache from the sauce at Swiss Chalet and she would spend the next day recovering from our little trip.
It didn’t stop us though as the next year we were right there doing the same tradition headache and all.
We would go to the one that was downtown. It’s not there now which is unfortunate as it was really a pretty one.
Come to think of it I think the poor waitresses back then had to wear those silly uniforms with the little white tops. I tried to find one on line to remind you of what they looked like but couldn’t find one.
The fun things you remember when you look back. I haven’t thought about that for years and today it just popped into my head.
Traditions are fun things aren’t they. They make something that’s just simple into something to look forward to and get excited about and remember even when its like 35 years later.
Bobby and I had a tradition of breakfast every Saturday. Since Dr. Angelface I can’t really eat a big breakfast like that and now with Bobby being vegetarian its a tradition that has been broken. We have lots of years to make many more traditions though.
Thanks Darlene for our yearly tradition of Christmas shopping, Swiss Chalet and sorry to say your yearly headache. Love you tons.

3 commentsHappy December.
Hello Dear Blog Friends.
How are you? Can you believe it? December already? Where did the year go?
My friend and fellow blogger Cynthia also had a heart experience in an everyday event and wrote a great blog about it and mentioned my Heavenly Honey Nut Cheerio. I thought you might want to read it. Here it is.
My little Cheerio is famous! Who knew.
