Xpress Redi-Set-Go

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. It’s Monday once again. My husband’s shift is all over the place so days seem to all blend together.

I’m not a big television watcher. The only show I like is Two and a Half Men for some reason. I think its hilarious.

I was flipping channels the other day though and I saw this infomercial for Meals in Minutes. They were making all this food with this little kitchen appliance called Xpress Redi-Set-Go.It was so bright and red and pretty.

I love kitchen gadgets. I could be sold on anything. I’m not saying I use them but I love them. When the lady is there doing her thing and pulling off all these meals that I could only dream about in minutes I’m hooked.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find it in Canada so we might have to order it from the US. It’s ok. I’m a little leary but it won’t be the first time.

Oh we’ve been caught before. The pasta maker was a big mistake. They talked us into three and every so often I find them and shake my head about how much they cost. Let’s face it pasta is meant to cook on the stove.

Ok back to Xpress Redi-Set-Go.

Bobby said he’s never seen me this excited about anything so let’s order it. I think he’s thinking if I can get excited about cooking anything is worth a try.

I am finding all these cool recipes for this little gadget. Mini Quiche’s in a snap and lots of other ones.

So I will keep you posted about how it all goes once I get it. You never know….

Well this is not very good news.

We bought the Turbo wave which does everything and it only cost us $50.00 shipping to send back.

Then my husband wanted the Ronco Set it and forget it but we threw away the box so this cost us $200.00.

I also have the Miracle Bullet (remember) and basically used it as a blender.

So my friend, Save your money. It all looks good. That’s how they make their money on the shipping charges.

Sorry to burst your Martha Stewart bubble.

Ha Ha. Too late already bought it, lol. I’ll keep you posted on how it works. It’s pretty if nothing else. Martha

    P.S. Quesadillas anyone?

You are going to love the Redi Set Go. I just got mine last Friday and I have cooked dinner on it every night. Everything comes out perfect. I have been inventing my own recipes. Perfect guesadillas and grilled sandwiches. Tomorrow night I’m going to make omelettes. So fast and easy, and cleanup consists of wiping it with a paper towel. Even cheese that oozed out of my quesadilla wiped right up without a trace with one swipe of the paper towel.

Be very careful when ordering from the web page. They make you buy stuff you didn’t order. I can send more details in a less public forum.

Hi Keith. Thanks for the message. I’ve read that on the internet about how they trick you. I’ll check our credit card and see what was charged. I need recipes too! Thanks for letting me know.

This product cooks fine, but falls apart. I’ve had mine for about 6 months and used it maybe 25 times and the “non-stick” coating is peeling off. After an email exchange with them, they will not replace it because it’s past the 90 days warranty for refunds. They didn’t even offer to exchange it, just flat out sorry sucker your stuck with now attitude. Don’t waste your money on this product.

    Ebay Seller :3322tom
Has a CookBook for the Xpress Express Redi Ready Set Go CD which features 500 recipes. I just bought it for 9.99 + less than 2 bucks shipping.

I just got my machine and am very excited to use this.
Unfortunately I did get tricked into buying the $9.99 recipe club – I hit NO and it still charged me, but I figure that I need to know how to use it.

As far as it falling apart, everything these day’s falls apart quickly – except your high end purchases, so as long as I get a ton of usage out of it, if I have to replace it… I am going to buy it off EBAY.

I’ve heard that if you line the interior with aluminium foil, the “non-stick” coating is not damaged. Of course, you shouldn’t have to do this, but if it works, so be it.

I’ll report back after I receive mine. If anybody else tries this, let us know.

Hi Brian. You know I’m not a big aluminum foil fan. Every time I think of it around food I think of foil in my teeth and I just break out in shivers. Try it though. Have you got it yet?

    Hi Sharon,

Got mine a few days ago and have enjoyed playing around with it. I haven’t used the aluminium foil and I’ve used canola oil rather than anti-stick spray.. Somewhere I read that there is an ingredient in the spray that may contribute to problems with the coating. Who knows which of these tales are true.

But so far so good and I’m definitely satisfied.

Hi Brian. Watch the oil might get too hot. If you go to a kitchen specialty store you can buy this little gadget (the gadget queen here) and you put the oil in and pump the gadget and it sprays like the spray in a can. Kind of cool. I buy the fancy Pam because I thought that might be better. Try taking the little Pillsbury cinnamon buns and breaking them up into 3 each and put them in the little indented pan. Yum yum. Well used to be yum but since I’ve been hypnotized for weight loss I don’t eat anything I shouldn’t. It’s the oddest thing really. Quite peculiar. I crave things like an apple. Have fun Brian. Abundant Blessings to you, Sharon
