Ghost Car

Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Everyone.  How are you this frosty morning. Do you think this cold is going to let up? Geez? I guess there is a reason for it so I shouldn’t complain too much. I’m being “I am” as I should be, listen to my breath, listen to my breath. Practicing A New Earth here.

Here’s my story for today.

I was thinking the other day I never told you about my Ghost Car.

I was driving to Toronto for some reason one morning and it was very early in the morning. There was no one on the road. I was driving down Taunton which turns into 14th. There is one section just after Brock I think where the road kind of turns into a large curved bridge. I think its a bridge anyway. (I know what you are thinking, is she sure of anything?, it must be hard to be her.)

I look beside me to my left as I’m a slow poke and always go on the right and there is a car beside me. Something made me look. Then all of a sudden it sprung back, almost like it was on an elastic or something. I looked behind and it was gone. It couldn’t have turned because it didn’t have time to do that. It was instant.

I almost stopped my car to see if it went in the ditch or something as it all happened so quickly. It was completely gone.

I knew I had experienced something and it was rather cool. Was it a car that was in an accident at that particular section of the street and wanted to say hi? What was it? Did I have some kind of “time” experience, flashback or forward?

I remember reading once about a legend where there was a school bus accident and if you parked there the little children’s handprints would be on your car. Here is the snope on it for you.

Maybe it was kind of the same thing. He just wanted to be recognized or something.

It didn’t frighten me or anything I just thought it was a really great experience. (I admit I had the word “cool” here but I realized that I use that word “way” too much so I thought I will change my writing a little and show you that I too can write a little more sophisticated.)

I am always looking for that car when I get to that part of the road each time.

So that’s it. Here’s a quote for you:

“For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don’t believe, no proof is possible.” Traditional Saying

Until we meet again, Sharon
