THE  CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

Each year I open up my Christmas Box
And wish each decoration could talk.

The memories they flood through me
As I place each cherished item on the tree.

No need to dust, they are no fuss,
Just store away with your Christmas Stuff.

I feel my heart begin to swell
As each one has a story to tell.

I think of everyone I hold so dear
And feel the wetness of a tear.

But this is a time of Joy. Mirth and Love
To enjoy our heavenly gifts from above.
