The Front Row

June 22nd, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Blog Friends. Many years ago someone forwarded to me the following and I thought I would share it with you. It is extremely valuable.

“The Front Row

Life is a Theatre….Invite Your Audience Carefully.

Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a Distance. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not going anywhere relationships or friendships.

Observe the relationships around you. Pay close attention. Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don’t really understand, know or appreciate you?

The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you…the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life. Remember that the people we hang with will have an impact on both our lives and our income.

And so, we must be careful to choose the people we hang out with, as well as the information which we feed our minds. We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor feed them with negative thoughts.

Who’s in your front row?”

Xpress Redi-Set-Go

June 22nd, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. It’s Monday once again. My husband’s shift is all over the place so days seem to all blend together.

I’m not a big television watcher. The only show I like is Two and a Half Men for some reason. I think its hilarious.

I was flipping channels the other day though and I saw this infomercial for Meals in Minutes. They were making all this food with this little kitchen appliance called Xpress Redi-Set-Go.It was so bright and red and pretty.

I love kitchen gadgets. I could be sold on anything. I’m not saying I use them but I love them. When the lady is there doing her thing and pulling off all these meals that I could only dream about in minutes I’m hooked.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find it in Canada so we might have to order it from the US. It’s ok. I’m a little leary but it won’t be the first time.

Oh we’ve been caught before. The pasta maker was a big mistake. They talked us into three and every so often I find them and shake my head about how much they cost. Let’s face it pasta is meant to cook on the stove.

Ok back to Xpress Redi-Set-Go.

Bobby said he’s never seen me this excited about anything so let’s order it. I think he’s thinking if I can get excited about cooking anything is worth a try.

I am finding all these cool recipes for this little gadget. Mini Quiche’s in a snap and lots of other ones.

So I will keep you posted about how it all goes once I get it. You never know….

Happy Fathers Day and Welcome Summer Solstice

June 21st, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends.

What a wonderful day isn’t it? God is good.

I wanted to say Happy Fathers day to all the Fathers out there. What a wonderful gift to be a Father.

My own Father passed away many years ago. I miss him and dream about him often. He was a character as you can read about in my blog What would Eddie do.

The summer solstice is already among us which is somewhat scary the way time is going so quickly. It seems it was just new years eve and now it is almost the end of June.

Have a wonderful day of celebration. Blessings to all the Fathers’ out there.

Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt – Reincarnation in Action

June 20th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good Morning and Welcome to the TPC Blog.

Well it is a little damp and dreary out today but it is still a wonderful day and  great day to get things done inside.

I found the coolest article on line about a boy who remembers a past life of being a pilot in World War II. It proves to us without a shadow of a doubt that reincarnation exists. I never had my own doubts but many do.

I missed the program but wanted to tell you all about this article so you can listen to it. The little guy is so healing for us all. A great teacher. Apparently there is also a book about this called Soul Survivor. I looked it up at Chapters and found it for you here.

You can find the article  here.

Quotes for you today (there were just so many to pick from).

“So as through a glass and darkly, the age long strife I see, Where I fought in many guises, many names, but always me.” General George S. Patton

“I know I am deathless. No doubt I have died myself ten thousand times before. I laugh at what you call dissolution, and I know the amplitude of time.” Walt Whitman

“Genius is experience. Some seem to think that it is a gift or talent, but it is the fruit of long experience in many lives.” Henry Ford

Ageless.

June 17th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello my dear friends. How are you this rainy evening?

I just read about a perfume called Ageless that is supposed to make you young again.

Totally awesome. Here’s the website.

The scents that they put in it sound delicious!

I so want some. I’m going to put it on my manifesting list right now.

All Decked Out.

June 16th, 2009 | Category: memories,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear People. Welcome to the TPC Blog.

My friend and I were talking about decks and such and I had the funniest memory of something that happened many years ago. It’s weird how we forget things until something comes up that reminds us of it.

Many many years ago when I was married to my first husband (26 years ago)  we had this beautiful house in Cookstown. The house was old and gorgeous but we really didn’t think it through as it was very far from work in Toronto and having a young child it wasn’t the smartest thing we ever did.

It was haunted too. The basement was the creepiest. One side was completed sealed up. I think it was like 125 years old. No one believed us until they stayed there and heard the footsteps and doors opening and such. My ex woke up once from the couch and the vacuum was going but not plugged in. Everything would go missing and then appear. Once when I was sleeping upstairs I could litterly feel the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It was a strange place. My older boy once from his crib kept pointing to the corner and wouldn’t go to sleep. He finally threw his bottle there and never touched his bottle again. Looking back that was kind of odd that we stayed there with all this going on. I remember it cost so much to heat that we had to stay in one part of the house and let the other parts get cold. Finally we moved back to Toronto. Enough was enough.

Once when we had our family over we were all sitting on the back deck having a good ole’ visit and we were watching the neighbours having a great party hooping and hollering when all of a sudden the earth moved and the deck gave out from under us. It wasn’t a crash type motion it was like in slow motion and if I remember right one leg gave way. We all ended up on top of each other. It was totally hilarious. No one was hurt so it made it even more funny.

The most embarrassing part is that the party that was going on at the other house saw the whole thing so they were laughing their head off too! Like that story doesn’t get my sister-in-law giggling.

Thank goodness it was then and not now. Now it would have been on the internet in two seconds flat from a cell phone or something.

Ahhh memories.

P.S. Oddly enough I was talking to my ex and he said remember the deck we had that fell and he cracked up? I don’t know if I picked up that he was thinking about it or we both thought about it at the same time. What a strange co”winky”dink.

How did The Psychic Cottage get its name?

June 16th, 2009 | Category: memories,Musings by Sharon

Hello everyone. How are you doing this wonderful day the Universe provided for us? I am truly grateful for it.

Sometimes I get asked how The Psychic Cottage got its name.

It kind of picked me actually.

I did readings at this little small almost shed like place in Unionville. I was sometimes known as the Unionville Psychic. I had a nice little area in front of the little building where I would sit patiently with my umbrella over my table and people would come and do readings there with me. My friend had a store beside me so it was great fun.

There was no electricity or heat so I could only be there on nice days but people got to know of my whereabouts. Festivals were so much fun.

In one of the Unionville flyers that came out I was given the name The Psychic Cottage. I loved the name immediately. That was my name since then.

It was perfect.

Actually I think my sign is still on the building. Kind of weathered. I made it myself. I bought one of those silly saws from TV that would go this way and that and made it into a giant 70’s flower with 70’s writing on it. It was cool.

I should ask if I can take it back. It would be fun to have. Although I do like that it is there as a reminder of those days.

I met my husband there. He came through a friend to meet me and brought my mother-in-law. Bobby and I became good friends and then as things that are meant to be happen we were married a few years later.

They  are pleasant memories.

Actually instead of a quote I’m going to tell you something someone told me once. I can’t remember who or why it came up but I use it a lot with my clients.

Don’t forget to get your own URL on Facebook today. The opportunity just came up this morning at 12:01am. Opportunities don’t come like that everyday!

Why do we carry this stuff around?

June 12th, 2009 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Hello everyone. What an amazing day. Oh ya.

I just went to get some groceries as I’m going to attempt another meal for Bobby. Macaroni and Cheese is safe for me to make. I can’t do much harm with that one.

While I was there I got some tomatoes and put them in a bag and had it around my wrist. I went up to the cash and got all my groceries and the young girl graciously said “Are the tomatoes going to be put on a separate bill?”. Boy was my face red. I hope she didn’t think I was doing the ole’ steal two tomato thing? I was so embarrassed. I didn’t even realize I still had it on my wrist.

As I was walking out though, always looking for blog material, I thought how many times do we do that in life. We carry around old stuff that no longer needs to be there and it gets so natural that we don’t even know its there anymore. We just adjust our life to fit it.

I notice that sometimes when doing readings. I will see a metaphor of a person dragging their baggage and its so heavy and harmful for them and they are just so tired. I am not judging at all I have my own baggage myself but I can see the harm it does. Some people it gets so heavy that the metaphor comes up as them dragging it and facing backwards while they pull their stuff along.

Let’s all right now visualize the past harmful baggage and tell the universe to put everything on our records and that we no longer want to carry it with us then visualize a huge pair of metaphysical scissors and cut it away. See if that helps. Ahhh, I did it too.
