What’s cookin?

Today Bobby bought me one of my Christmas presents as I needed boots and I wanted some funky ones. I saw at the Soft Moc Wear house a pair of the coolest Doc Marten’s that were all black with pink laces and a funny pink design up the back.

I totally love them. They had them in white too with the pink but I thought I would be too hard on them.

The funny part is when we got to the cash the young pretty little girl said “well these are obviously for someone else” but if you want to get them some cream for the boot they will wear better.

Ha ha ha. I said they’re for me. Do you think they are too young for me? She’s like no totally cool.

How hilarious is that? I do like funky things and the funkier the better but she got me to thinking that maybe at 52 I should be acting more like 52? Then I thought na that’s what makes me me right?

Here’s a picture of my new boots. What do you think? Too young? Now I have to wear them in. Ouch. Wearing in Doc Marten’s is like painful but so worth it.

Hmmm. I just noticed when I’m taking a picture for you that it is a guitar on the back I thought it was a pretty schrollytype design? Then I looked and it is guitar hero docs? On line it appears to be some kind of video game? Yikes. I think video games are a total thief of time (notwithstanding my concern that our subconscious mind doesn’t have a sense of humour when we are doing these strange things) should I be promoting them?  I think I have to go back and switch them for a pair of Dr. Scholl rubber soled boots, ha ha, or trade them for a pair of berkenstocks for the summer. There’s a lesson here for buying things before you think about it or maybe instead of being offended by the young girls’ comments I should have listened to her.

I wonder if I can cut off the guitar and make it into a daisy?

Oh the trouble I get into. How am I going to explain this one to Bobby? Thanks for the present but I don’t like it anymore, lol.

Hi Everyone. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage blog.

You know how much I loved the book The Vortex with Abraham (blog here) well they’ve done it again.

Oo la la. There is a new book out called “Getting into the Vortex” by Esther & Jerry Hicks and its very very powerful.

It has a meditation which guides you into the Vortex for your daily living. I have felt so different since listening to it.

You make different choices.

Few examples that happened to me:

1. Sometimes I sit with Bobby and read or something while he does his silly xbox games but I can’t. It’s almost like I don’t want that in my energy.

2. I really notice when things trigger me and I work them through easier in an almost detached way.

3. I seem to be in the flow with money for some reason. It seems to be following me here and there. I won $25 twice and $50 once. I’m hoping the 649 is in the vortex with me!

4. I’m smiling more and this afternoon I felt like dancing for no reason. So I did of course.

5. Weird things each day are opening up to me.

 The more you do the meditation the more you drift into a wonderful place. The breathing takes a bit to get used to but once you master the count 3 in 5 out its quite simple and very relaxing.

Good Morning Everyone.

My friend Cynthia of Cynful Musings had a blog about Flash Mob’s and I didn’t really know they had a name but I just love watching them on youtube. I’ve yet to watch one that doesn’t make me cry.

I really believe they are a way of healing a lot of people at one time. How could something that shocks people and makes them smile to the point of tears be a bad thing.

I’d love to be first for shock value! Oh ya!

Hi Everyone.

I think it was a success. We aren’t sick yet so its pretty good so far! I just realized I’ve been listening to my housekeeping subliminal mp3 so that explains the need to nest.

It was funny Bobby is like where is the camera I want proof that you made me dinner for the people at work. Ha Ha. I was well ahead of him.

So here was the lovely place setting. The round placements look a little wild but they are cute. Dollar store special.

Now the feta cheese did throw me for a loop. It was so gross when I opened it up in that pukey water. All I could think of is that the due date is not for a year. Grossola. It was lots of fun to crumble though.  I took a picture for you.

Here’s a picture of my beautiful salad. I forgot to tell you I bought slivered almonds too. How creative am I?

So that’s it. Bobby did get a little frisky after (I think it was shock) but sorry wrong Mp3 I have to do the dishes.

Hello Everyone.

How are you again? Lots of posts today.

Today I decided to cook for my husband. Now I never cook. I used to when the kids were small but I somehow forgot how. Not sure what’s up with that but it happened.

So I went to the store and got some chicken and decided I wanted to make a spinach salad like you get in the restaurants.

I asked my psychic friend who works at Fresco how she made hers and she said she just uses spinach and mushrooms. No I wanted fancy.

So I did a psychic walk about to see what was going to go in my salad. I bought raspberry salad dressing, raspberries, baby spinach, sliced almonds and feta cheese. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be gross but when I got home and went on the Internet for a recipe I was pretty good in my choices! I’m not sure if he will like it or not but its going to be pretty! My friend Rosemary who is a good cook told me how to work with the feta and I was a little queasy about it but I’m sure it can’t be that bad.

I even cleaned off the table and took the old computer off and bought some lovely yellow place mats. Bobby is going to come home and wonder whose house he is in.

Howdy Everyone. What’s doing out there?

On the way to the Women’s Show I had to stop the car on the highway to snap  pictures of these wonderful rays that were coming through the clouds. Check them out.

They are just so beautiful! Took my breath away. I love when things like that happen. It’s almost like I wake up to the miracles around me.

Hello Dear Friends.

Last night was the City Cottage Store Ladies Night and Open House. I couldn’t stay long because I had my cupcake event but I did snap a few pictures in my short visit.

Here’s a picture of Jenny’s gorgeous store in Bowmanville all decked out with the wonderful pizazz that Jenny seems to bring to everything.

It looked amazing. Jenny had these pink beautiful hanging things  over her cash. Check it out. You look beautiful Jenny! As always.

The Psychic Cottage

Hello Everyone.

Carolyn from Sands of Time Tarot and I did readings at the Whitehouse Hotel in Peterborough yesterday. It was great fun.

Carolyn will be on the radio with me tonight so pop in for a reading from her.

Here’s a picture of Carolyn doing her Tarot Readings. Check out the great orb in front of her. She just pulled out her tarot cards and it was there. For those of you who are saying it was the light or something here is the next picture right after.

Snap was there so I can’t wait to see the pictures. I said to Carolyn on the way up I think there will be media there. We cracked up when we learned that Snap was there to take our pictures.

It was quite lovely there. I was a little worried as I think I’ve been to three bars in my lifetime but it was really nice.

They have a Wild Wing there too which is my favourite. I had potato skins. Yum Yum. Carolyn had sweet potato fries.
