Wrong Way!

February 27th, 2011 | Category: Gems Along the Way,memories,Musings by Sharon

Hello Dear Friends. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage Blog. I hope everyone is doing super.

The snow is back. Hello!

“Dear God: We are really getting depressed down here can you kindly send us some sunshine, even a little glimpse of what is to come. PLEASE!” There you go I prayed for all of us.

The other day when coming home from a wonderful gig at Eternal Hot Yoga, Carolyn from Sands of Time Tarot, Paul (her wonderful husband) and I came across something that triggered a memory from my childhood.

We were driving on one of the many one way streets in Oshawa and there was a truck facing the wrong way with a police  car in front of it. Somehow the person driving was not there or maybe in the back of the police car.

This event triggered me when in my childhood we lived on a one way street. It was such an event when a car (which they always did) would come up the wrong way. All the kids would jump out to them and shout “WRONG WAY”.

They of course would get flustered and turn at the next street.

No xbox, no cell phones, just get out there and entertain yourself and come back in at lunch. The children today would be horrified with that. It was great fun though.

I was only a young one. Here’s a picture of my Brother and me around that time. Check out my pals waiting for me in the background. I guess I have always been blessed with many friends.

(Love the shoes. I want a pair of those old saddle shoes. I remember my Mom putting white polish on them.)

I was thinking  wouldn’t it be great if every time we were going the wrong way in life a bunch of children jumped out onto our path and yelled “WRONG WAY”. Life would be a lot simpler I’m thinking. I guess if we learned to listen to our intuition it actually does happen but then sometimes its hard to do when we think we are in control. Reminds me of something I read about what  Venus Andrect said “God always gets his way anyway”.

I will be interviewing the wonderful Venus this week on The Psychic View. I hope you come its going to be tons of fun.

Congratulations On Your Wedding Dear Friends

February 21st, 2011 | Category: Gems Along the Way,Musings by Sharon

Good morning Everyone. What’s cookin’?

Last night we went to our dear friends’ wedding. Congratulations Zsuzsana and Terry. I’ve never seen Zsuzana look more happy. See for yourself. She looked so beautiful.

Zsuzsana and I have a fun relationship. I received an email one day and she said when looking at one of my advertisements she realized that we were meant to be friends. You will note that she is also a psychic.

Lo and behold I went to her house and the rest is history. We have been friends ever since.

I finally had another chance to wear my mega high heels again. It was a little easier this time then last. I wore them the whole evening. I guess they are a little broken in now. Bobby was exhausted because he has been working so hard but he pulled through.

The reception was at Daddy’s Little Grill in Ajax and the food was delicious. I haven’t eaten that much in a long time. I highly recommend this place.

Zsuzsana and Terry have a band and he did this lovely song for her. Look at this picture of her while listening. She’s glowing.

Congratulations you guys. Good work!

Thank you both for being you.

Oh, do give yours to me;
We’ll lock them up together,
And throw away the key.”

Happy Bran Muffin Man

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage blog! So happy you popped in.

We all know that bran makes us happy (hee hee) but today I had the best surprise when I made my bran muffins.

OK I will let you in on what has been happening while the blog has been getting more space in case you are now standing there with your mouth open. I have been cooking lately and not just things that start with a T!

Big time cooking. I’m even getting excited about …..hold on……buying a new kitchenaid pot that was on sale at Canadian Tire! It’s not over yet don’t faint….and I even…….took everything out of the oven because I’m going to start using it! Ta Da!

Can you believe it? I can’t. I had some work done by a wonderful healer and something just switched inside me. It’s all good as Bobby’s niece Sahra says.

Ok back to my bran muffins. Let me brag a bit. I have been making these wonderful bran muffins and Bobby’s friends at work love them. I always add three little blueberries in them to make them moist and more tastey.

Yes my family I hear you just for clarity this is Sharon I haven’t sold this blog or anything. Geez.

I pull out the muffins out of the little toaster oven and this is what one of them looked like. I couldn’t stop laughing.

It reminded me of the time I found a heart in my cheerios.

Bobby wasn’t as amused as I was. I couldn’t stop laughing and I was so excited I couldn’t wait to write this blog and share my blessed bran muffin with you all.

I took him out for you to look at a different background.

Oh my Goddess he even has a little freckle on his nose!

I had an extra chuckle because I have been watching Season One of The Big C (which is like the best show ever) and in one eposide the girl says I don’t eat anything with a face. Guess she isn’t having a bran muffin then is she?

I know small things amuse small minds but I think this is the cutest thing that has happened to me in a long time.

I wonder if he will scream when I eat him! You know I’m not letting anyone  else eat him right? I think he’s magic.

No Socks

February 18th, 2011 | Category: Musings by Sharon,Ponderings

Good day everyone. How are you this wonderful day?

It’s sunny out. Yippy! I know its not spring yet but it is lovely nonetheless. See this winter wasn’t that long, NOT.

Did you know that Einstein never wore socks. He said they were not worth the effort.

I was thinking today that I have not worn socks all winter. I go from my nerdy boots to my moccasins which I carry with me if I’m going somewhere.

I was also  thinking I get what he means now.

Socks are a bit of a pain when you are not organized as they seem to get lost. I even started buying the same kind and colour so if they are lost who cares just match them up with the next one.

I thought cheapy ones and if they dissappear who cares but they get holes instantly.

I do love socks though. Fun colours, soft ones, high ones, low ones but they are truly not worth the effort for me.

I’m finding this going barefoot quite liberating.

Spring will have me wearing socks again once I can’t wear boots and can’t wear sandals yet but that’s ok.

I’m thinking a pair of Berkenstocks are in my future. I must be getting  (I know “getting?”) old because its all about comfort.

Quote for you:

“Long hair minimizes the need for barbers; socks can be done without; one leather jacket solves the coat problem for many years; suspenders are superfluous.” Albert Einstein

Oh I truly love Albert you know.

Fiverr

February 17th, 2011 | Category: Musings by Sharon

Good morning everyone. Ahhh I’m so happy to be back on my blog. Feels like coming home to me. No I won’t break out in song you are safe.

I found the best website that I wanted to share with you. It’s called Fiverr.

People offer all sorts of fun things for $5.00. It’s hilarious and inspirational.

I ordered a logo for Motivation, Passion & Cupcakes from this wonderful listing. Hello $5.00. It’s worth a shot. I’ll keep you posted on what it looks like.

The same price as a coffee.

I opened an account to sell stuff but I haven’t figured out what to sell yet. I have so many things I can’t settle on anything. Story of my life, lol. So many ideas so little time. Spoken like a true procrastinator.

So have a peek you never know what you will find.

I wish I thought of it.

For those of you who missed my last newsletter I had a special opportunity to have a Past Life reading for $20 which is something that is not offered on my site at present. If you want to get a copy of the newsletter send an email and I will make sure you get it.

Quote for you:
