My brother has nominated January a no Alcohol Month. It’s spreading like wildfire. Actually it is one new years’ resolution I can keep because I don’t drink! (Don’t you even think of taking away my chocolate either.)<\/p>\n
He had this idea that he doesn’t want\u00a0 to drink all of January. Not even one beer. He said it’s a little tough, especially at the casino when they offer his favorite beer, but he’s been doing it.<\/p>\n
He said he’s talking to everyone and they are doing the same thing now. How exciting!<\/p>\n
So that’s it. Just wanted to share in case you wanted in the club. Your liver will thank you.<\/p>\n

\nThis is our 2nd Annual “Dry January”. It is the one month a year that Brian and I take a solemn vow to abstain from any mind altering substances (mostly beer and wine).\u00a0 It can be trying at times but it is also very rewarding.\u00a0 We think of it as a detox after indulging during the holidays.
\nThis year my dad joined in on our challenge and we plan to celebrate our success after the end of the month a couple days after his birthday.
\nI’m glad to see our idea is catching on.\u00a0 It is very gratifying on January 31st when you wake up and think “I did it”.\u00a0 Pass on our idea to others and maybe we can start a real trend.
