I work beside a really sweet woman who just came here from the Philippines and its so much fun to experience things with her for the first time.<\/p>\n
(I can’t really tell her about this blog as I’m thinking she is quite religious in a very structured way. She might never talk to me again. Eeeek A Psychic. )<\/p>\n
Anyway…she is really kind and gets so excited about everything.<\/p>\n
As this is her first winter she comes in every day amazed at how cold it is and can’t believe when I tell her this is nothing wait until February.<\/p>\n
Today she said is it hot in here? I said to her how many layers do you have on? She has these thermal underwear and layers of clothes. It’s so much fun to watch her and so refreshing. Sometimes I forget the beauty of day to day things and when someone is experiencing it as brand new it makes me remember how lucky we are.<\/p>\n
It was so cute the first time she had to drive in snow. She has a big 4×4 so it wasn’t the danger but it was just the amazement that it was her first snowfall.<\/p>\n
I think I like that she is so grateful to be in Canada and she never complains. You know if it were me I think I’d be doing my share of whining if I was taken from gorgeous weather to snowy Canada.<\/p>\n
