Fringe
Good Evening Dear Friends. Welcome to The Psychic Cottage Blog.
What’s new in your world? I hope you are having fun.
For our anniversary I bought my husband a copy of the First Season of Fringe.
It is so amazing. We totally devoured it.
I’m in love with Walter. He says the best things that make me smile especially when he makes me question our existence here.
Sometimes I think what if our existence here is like a micro second and when we get back to our energy self we say ok I’ll go down again this time I’ll do this or that. To us the existence is 80 or so years. A long time that we have created. Geez you have to wonder sometimes don’t you?
With this “micro second” way of thinking though its hard to get in the thick of it and take things too seriously.
So that’s it I just wanted to tell you that we LOVE Fringe and if you haven’t had a chance to see it check it out. It’s a little “gooey” at times for sure but the lines they use keep you laughing and questioning things.
Quote for you of one of my favourite lines on Fringe:
“Peter: Are you sure?
Walter: My boy, I’m not even sure that we exist on the same plane of consciousness, but yes, I believe so.”

Push or Pull
Hello Dear Friends. How are you? Oh its getting warmer by the day I’m thinking spring is coming real soon!
I have been pondering something lately. We have a door on the kitchen of our office at work and it is a clear door and you can either push it or pull it depending on what you feel like doing.
It has always intrigued me that some people pull it and some people push it when going in or out. I always pulled it until I realized it went both ways and then I’m a total push girl. Pushing is easy to do. You can even use your butt if you have your hands full of coffee or tea or whatever.
Pulling is hard. It takes effort.
I wanted to ask people who pull what kind of people they are? Is life easy or hard for them? I wanted to take a poll (pardon the sort of pun -Â poll/pull)
Where I’m going with this is that life is kind of like that. Once you figure out that it’s easier to get in the zone and go with the flow life gets easy. Of course there are days we still pull but I’m thinking I want to push to keep my hands free to catch the many miracles coming when I ease through life.

No commentsThe Curve Ball
Good morning my dear and wonderful Friends. Welcome to the TPC Blog.
I hope all your dreams are coming true and that each step you take is one filled with serendipitous moments.
I’ve been pondering life today. It is strange isn’t it? I always say its like a giant pendulum of balance.
It’s so important and much easier to keep your pendulum as calm as possible. Highs and Lows are probably not your best choice.
I read Esther Hicks and Abraham says everything that comes in is a direct result of our thoughts. It makes me think though how special do we have to be so that we can be in that space of awareness. We all do our best to stay positive and bring only this magical good into our life but sometimes “life happens”.
I know where the saying “other shoe is going to drop” came from when I think of this pendulum of life.
I thought of something my son said the other day when we were going into the house. I said to him now the house is a “little” messy. Well he got this huge smile and said “now that’s a curve ball”. He cracks me up.
I thought of this saying though and that is what life is like sometimes. You are going along your merry way thinking this is it life is taking off to that wonderful place of being untouchable and the pendulum switches the curve ball comes out of no where and you are digging out of another lesson.
I guess that’s why we are here on this glorious Earth anyway to learn as well as help others with what we have learned as we all know that with knowledge comes responsibility right? I guess power too.
So that’s it my pondering for the day. Keep your intuition up and your baseball glove and bat ready and remember as bad as it gets is as good as it gets too.
Love and blessings to you all my Friends.

No commentsKeyboard for Blondes
Hi Everyone.
I just found the strangest thing. I know I’m going to get trashed for even mentioning this one.
It’s a keyboard for blondes.
Here’s the Article I saw and here’s the website.
My husband said its a joke Sharon you fall for everything. It’s not though. It’s a real thing.
No I don’t think blondes are dumb nor do I think anyone is dumb for that matter. To judge anyone or anything with such a wide scope would be preposterous and arrogant. I just find this whole thing odd.
Oh no I can feel the comments now for writing this. They are pretty though without the dumb stuff. I think I just like it because its pink.
If however there are talking keyboards wouldn’t it be cool to have one that says positive affirmations that you could program in. “You are incredible” “You are gifted.” “You are Amazing”. Hmm, maybe I’m onto something. Mine would totally have to be pink though.

No commentsSwitching Fear into Pleasure & The Movie Superstar
Welcome Everyone.
How are you all keeping out there. The energy seems to be revving up a bit. That’s a good thing. It sure was getting heavy out there.
I watched the other day one of my favorite movies. Superstar. If you haven’t watched it you have to give it a go. It’s hilarious.
Ok, its ridiculous and parts are a little embarrassing but its so funny.
My favorite part is when the two main characters are sitting in church and they get sad so they say they need a break and they pretend they are super models. The one girl says something like “I was just walking down the street and this man comes up to me and says do you want to be a supermodel and I said sure and here I am”.
I’m thinking of this movie because I’m thinking of how our minds can switch and make things ok when a second ago they weren’t. I think its called a paradigm shift. It’s like switching something that causes us fear into something that causes us pleasure.
An example would be a lady at work kept seeing 11:11. She was getting nervous about it. Obviously the more she feared it the more it showed up which is exactly what happens with fear. The lion walks right up to us and says are you scared yet. She asked me about it and I said oh that’s very powerful its the minute when the angels are listening to our prayers. Whenever I see it I stop what I’m doing and I pray for that minute. That’s what I was taught anyway.
Right then and there she did a shift. These numbers no longer caused fear but gave her a moment of pleasure. Now she gets excited when she sees them.
At my church class last week Rev. Joe brought in a hypnotherapist to talk to us. This is exactly what he does. He takes something that makes us paralyzed and changes it into something else. He actually took a lady who had a fear of snakes that almost paralyzed her. You could feel her shake when he talked about it. He turned it around very quickly to be something funny. After that every time he would bring up snakes to her she would laugh. Just being in that class I cannot think of a snake without laughing either. Not that I had a fear of snakes but now I can’t think of a snake in any other way.
Is that all it takes? I know we have to be a willing participant but hey I’m thinking its worth a try.
The mind is an amazing thing isn’t it. It was funny the other day Bobby and I were driving up to Rama and I got out Maggie, my GPS, and it said we would arrive in 15 minutes. Both Bobby and I were excited wow its so close. Even though we knew in our heads that it was more than an hour away we allowed something outside ourselves to override our logic. Finally I thought OH I didn’t put it on day light savings time but for that little bit our minds really thought it was closer then is was. Now you might be out there thinking “Doh” maybe you guys are just not the sharpest tools in the shed (as my friend Terry would say) but it wasn’t that. It was something outside of us that we trusted to be the truth overriding our own logic.
The reason I’m boring you with this is that we really can’t take life too seriously. If things can be changed in an instant just by how we are looking at it then how can anything really be real.
I am obviously taking out of the equation major hardships here although I’m thinking it could work. I’m talking the day to day things from our past or present that we take so seriously and the things that keep us back from moving forward.
So let’s be grateful and all raise our vibration and move forward. Let’s see prayers instead of fear. I really believe Spirit is always listening and the 11:11 is just our reminder to pray not theirs to listen. Nonetheless it never hurts to pray.

1 commentLet’s All Be Open to Receive.
Hello Everyone!
What a wonderful day it is. Spring is on its way, finally. Can you believe it? What a long haul of a winter. I thought it would never end.
I have to tell you about my Grandcat, Hazel. (To see more about my Grandcats with pictures see here.)
She goes into heat sometimes and I understand it to be quite uncomfortable so when I go up to their apartment to be with them and visit I usually do a little Reiki on her to make her feel better.
The funniest part is now when I go up she runs immediately from the door to her window seat and lies down on her back puts back her head and opens her legs and arms so that her tummy is fully exposed for me to do Reiki on her. It is totally hilarious to watch. My other grandcat, Blueberry kind of looks at her like she’s totally lost her nut but she doesn’t care she lies there and even after I’ve done the Reiki she stays there. How funny is that?
I’m learning from my little furry friend and I think we should all be doing that. Opening up our arms wide to the universe and say “Today I am open to receive all the Gifts that are Mine by Divine Right. Thank you Universe.” Would the world not be a better place?

1 commentA Bug’s Life.
Hello my Sweet Friends. How are you all doing? I can feel the February energy sneaking in. With the fear generated from the media recession and it being cold and February the energy is starting to get a little murky. Hopefully it will switch up soon.
So I have another strange story for you.
Today I printed something at work and the weirdest thing happened.
Keep in mind I’m the earliest one there. I get there at 7 am because I don’t do well in traffic. I can only listen to my meditation tapes for so long before the “ok come on let’s go” comes out of me. My road rage slips out before I can catch it. Nothing drastic more impatience than anything.
I was looking at my sheet I got from the printer doing my work thing when I noticed something kind of gross on it.
I looked more carefully and it was an actual bug that had somehow got in the printer and it was a squished bug, legs and all, with this goo that had come out of him or her (let’s assume it’s a he) via its head and there was a tinge of red which I assume is bug blood. The strangest part is he kind of got cooked on the paper which made him into a piece of art. God Art as all are his (ok I’ll keep with the theme and assume God is a he here) creatures.
Now I could have just went “Egads” and settled at “Euew” and thrown it away, after of course showing everyone at work to get things going, but I started to think about things and how life is kind of like that. One minute you are doing your “bug thing” thinking this is kind of cool and the next minute you could be in spirit saying oops “I wasn’t expecting that one” (I took that line from Hurley on Lost).
I started thinking what was the bug doing in the printer? Did he fall? Did he think there was bug food in there? Was he an adventurous bug?
Then I started thinking about something I’ve pondered for a while that might be a good healing tool and that is “freeze framing” your life.
I started a book on it some time ago and I’ll dig it out and have a look and see where I’m at with it. Maybe the time has come. I think I called it A Slice of Life which can’t be done now because of Dexter’s boat.
The idea is take a freeze frame or slice of your actual life at this moment. What needs to be changed? What needs to stay and you are grateful for? What are your dreams?
Then create another freeze frame or slice in the future and make it exactly how you want it. Then meditate on that future freeze frame slice and make it happen.
Dealing with everything. What you would be doing this actual moment if all this slice was in place. Such fun to do things like that.
I know what you are thinking. Geez it must be hard to be her. I’d of thrown the bug out and that would have been the end of it.
So there you have it. The Day the Bug Got Squished. Hey that’s a good name for my book?

No commentsThey are Just so Darn Cute.
Hi Everyone.
How are you this Lovely Day?
Don’t you just love USB Keys. Well I do have a thing for keys in general (especially old antique ones) but for some reason USB keys are so much fun for me.
I usually by accident call them UBS keys and people look at me strange (stranger then normal). They can be made into anything. Staples had ones that were little animals. Like frogs and such. I didn’t get one because I thought I was being extravagant as I already have one but how cool is that?
Timing is everything with these little USB keys. Usually around Christmas and when kids go back to school the funkier ones come out. I’m going to pay attention around Halloween because how cute would a witch one be.
I read on line that they are coming out with a necklace with a USB key in it. Kind of odd and wonderful.
I was looking everywhere for a USB pen. I know they sell them. I guess I haven’t looked too hard. It might be easier to lose in a pen though. Here use my pen and then you forget to get it back and half your world is gone.
I love lots of information for some reason. Organizing it is even better. For people who know me I’m not talking my home here…ok…. I’m talking information ok. (Inside joke)
I know if someone is young and reading this they are probably rolling their eyes as they were brought up in this fast paced world but I am fascinated with all these little gadgets. I think it’s just really cool that this little thing can carry information around for you. Like a secret little computer of information. So very Dick Tracy.
I know I’m odd. I just see the marketing potential in things. Like Kleenex boxes too. I wish that was my job designing them or I could find a place that would let me make my own. I have so many ideas that would be just so darn cute.

No commentsPooped and Muffinless.
Hi Everyone. How is 2009 treating you so far? I feel like we are on the verge of something. Not sure what but the energy has this feeling of anticipation around it, doesn’t it?
So like everyone I’m rushing home from work to watch the new Oprah show. I rushed (because I wanted to surprise Bobby before he got home) and shovelled the walk, let the dogs out, sat with the grandcats, replenished everyone, made a cup of jo and sat down to watch. I had a nice muffin for Bobby and I but when I went out to shovel the dogs seem to think I bought the muffins for them. Not sure what goes through their brains sometimes.
Today when I finally sat down to watch Oprah (all pooped out and muffinless) it was kind of at the end and I missed a bit. I did however make it just in time for me to learn something. My dear Oprah started talking about Mattie Stepanek who passed away in 2004, way too soon if you ask me.
I have seen him around but I didn’t know the details.
Oprah had on one of her interviews and I’m like ??? where did he come from and like when is God sending more of those little people down here to help everyone. Spiritual earthlings, Angel Kids on Earth.
When he talked it was like he was talking to my soul. I’ve done readings on kids (well teens with Mom’s consent yes)Â that are really advanced and they do the same thing. They touch a place within you that you know is the key to something but you’re not quite sure what’s going on. Almost like Patsy Cline. Her voice goes somewhere and your not sure where.
These little Angel People Kids leave you feeling really stupid too in a good way.
You gotta think when you experience their magic “what could possibly be so bad” that would stop us from moving forward and growing and experiencing the wonderful spiritual beings that we are. Why would silly things stop us from finding the gifts that have been given to us for sharing with others?
We live in such a beautiful place and are so lucky to be here at this time if even just to experience these wonderful Angel people that come into our lives when we need them.
God Bless Everyone and may you find your gift that is yours to give (and as one of my teacher Judith says) “and move forward with Grace and Ease”.

No commentsThe Pendulum of Life.
Hello my dear Friends. Welcome to the TPC Blog.
Life is strange sometimes. As bad as it gets is how good as it gets. That pendulum of life can go so far into chaos and then brings us back into the feeling of love and appreciation and gratefulness. My sister and her husband just experienced this along with our family.
They love to travel and are always all about but on this holiday they had a life altering experience. They went into a bank and when they came out while standing there a car pulled up and they were surrounded by three men. One went to take my sister’s purse and told her husband to empty his pockets. My sister being quite feisty started screaming for someone to come, her husband tried to talk to them. This provoked them to pull out a gun and put it against her husband’s chest. My sister being travel savvy didn’t have her passport or anything major in her purse but they got her camera and all her credit cards. Lots of cash but it was a small price to pay for them to leave them alone untouched. She said it was like in slow motion.
I asked her what did they take and she said “a bit of my soul”. She will never travel again outside Canada and US.
The other side of the pendulum came after. Everyone helped them and were there in an instant. They wanted to come home immediately and as they cancelled their credit cards this young man who they didn’t even know put their home flight on his credit card. All the people in the hotel asked them to stay and enjoy their holiday and they finally agreed and this young man again cancelled with his credit card and when there was a cancellation fee he talked to the placed they booked the flight with and got it taken away. She said every one’s hearts and kindness came out and gave her a glimpse of the other side of life.
When my brother told me what happened I kind of freaked. I couldn’t imagine life without my sister or my brother-in-law. They are two of the most kindest people around. Of course my love for them goes deep and if they passed a piece of me would go with them. Not having children of their own they have become aunt and uncle extraordinaire to my children and they are those kind of people that make you relax in life because you know they will always have your back. No matter what happens they aren’t about to judge but just be there to talk it through and help you through.
I’m not sure what the universe had planned with this one. Maybe it was to appreciate every minute for them and for us and be grateful. I know in all this my prayers have been beefed up for those people I love.
